Nick asked, “What’s going on? Camellia, what’s happening?”

Camellia said, “Nick, hurry and save me. I’m at the club on the sixth floor of the King Mall, and they’re about to beat me to death.”

Camellia continued, “It’s Mrs. Wayne. You are discussing business with Mr. Wayne, and you asked me to smooth things over with him. After I met him, Mrs. Wayne caught me, called me a mistress, and even hit me. Help me. It hurts so much.”

Nick got anxious upon hearing this. “How am I supposed to save you without exposing myself?”

Camellia said, “Nick, you jerk. I’m doing this for you, but you don’t even dare to save me. What good are you to me? I might as well be with Mr. Wayne because he’s not a coward like you. He tries his best to protect me when I am being attacked.”

Camellia was furious. She knew Nick was a coward, but she didn’t think he’d be so heartless.

Nick’s eyes flashed with a cold glint. “Camellia, what do you mean by that? Are you saying you two were secretly involved?”

Camellia said, “Nick, stop overthinking. Hurry up and help me. They’re blocking me from leaving.”

After Camellia hung up the phone, her elegantly styled hair was in disarray, and her scalp tingled painfully.

Camellia listened to the shouting outside the door, terrified.

But Camellia knew Nick would definitely come to save her because Nick would depend on her talented children.

“Camellia, you shameless woman, seducing my husband. Get out here.”

Outside the door, Maris’s furious voice echoed.

Camellia was terrified because she didn’t want it to come out that she was a mistress.

Camellia had been with Colin for years, so she didn’t know why Maris suddenly found out.

The loud banging on the door made Camellia even more frightened.

Not far away, Wendy watched the scene unfold, her eyes sparkling with amusement.

Maria asked with a smile, “Wendy, if Camellia’s affair with Colin comes to light, she and Nick will fall out. What if Nick refuses to divorce you?”

Wendy sneered. “Nick will divorce me. When he’s with me, he only gets my superior attitude. But with Camellia, she compliments him, boosts his ego, and admires him. With me, he lacks self-esteem, but in front of Camellia, he feels like a strong man.”

Wendy said, “So, he’ll definitely divorce me.”

Maria said, “At Colin’s last party, I was curious how Camellia managed to attend. What role did she hate? There’s no way–”

Maria said, “Considering Jennifer’s cautious nature, there’s no way she would have brought Camellia along. The only possibility is that Camellia has some connection with the Wayne family.”

Maria sneered. “I never thought Camellia was so capable, being involved with Colin’s nephew all this time. They’ve been together for years.”

Maria only found this out yesterday.

Today, knowing that Camellia was meeting Colin, they intentionally informed Maris to set up this dramatic scene.

Wendy felt terrible, disgusted that she had to share a man with a woman like that.

Maria furrowed her brow and asked, “Will Nick show up?”

Wendy shook her head. “He won’t come. Until his plan is successful, he won’t reveal Camellia. The last time I caught them at Colin’s party, so he didn’t dare to come.”

Wendy knew Nick well. Last night, Nick and Camellia had sex again.

Nick had no idea that Camellia had been cheating on him for years.

Camellia had no shame because she was relying on men.

Wendy found it hard to accept that kind of lifestyle too.

“Maria, everyone makes their own choices. You’d rather get a divorce and succeed in your career than become a housewife.” Maria smiled at Wendy. “I’ve always been clear about what I want. My mother-in-law is like yours, thinking women shouldn’t be out in the world but should stay home to support their husbands and raise their children.”

Maria continued. “But when money is tight, they act like we haven’t contributed anything, thinking we’re enjoying life at home without earning a penny, living off their son’s income.”

Maria continued. “That’s why I refuse to be treated like that. I earn my own money and spend it how I want. If I want to buy something for my family, no one can stop me.”

Maria thought the biggest regret of her life was not having a good mother-in-law or marrying a good man.

Maria looked at Wendy and smiled. “I’m lucky to have found a great boss like you, Wendy. You’re the reason I earn six figures a year now. That’s why I feel so confident.”

Wendy knew that having money and the ability to make it herself made a woman confident and independent.

Wendy gave a bitter smile. “Back then, my parents agreed for me to marry Nick but made me sign an agreement that I couldn’t let him have control of the company as long as they were alive.

“It seems my parents had better judgment than I did. They didn’t trust Nick and had me sign that agreement.

“Thankfully, I wanted to run my own company, so it didn’t fall into his hands too soon.”

As soon as Wendy finished, Maris kicked open the door with a few of her friends.

Camellia’s screams immediately followed.

A few of Maris’s close friends rushed over and gave Camellia another beating.

Camellia ultimately didn’t wait for Nick to rescue her. Instead, she became a trending topic as Colin’s mistress.

Natalie and Carl finished discussing work and happened to see the trending news.

When Natalie found that Jennifer’s mother Camellia was Nick’s and Colin’s mistress, she froze and thought Camellia was quite shameless.

No wonder Camellia managed to crash Colin’s party. That night, she made Wendy witness quite the show.

Natalie said, “Camellia deserved it.”

Camellia was truly awful, and it was deserved.

Some people were born mean. Wendy went crazy and was irritated even more by Camellia when she learned the truth.

Wendy already knew the truth and hadn’t gone crazy, so things were different now.

Natalie was sitting on the couch, sipping fruit tea Luna made for her, and scrolling through comments on her phone.

The comments were all criticizing Camellia. Not very interesting, Natalie smirked. The Wayne family’s drama seemed pretty entertaining.

She was enjoying herself when an unknown number called her.
