Maurice looked at Natalie with concern. He asked, “Natalie, are you okay?”

Maurice said, “I just happened to be in the area for some business. I know you bought a piece of land and came over to handle the paperwork. I saw you coming out with the seller and chose not to call you.

“But then, I unexpectedly witnessed a little drama. This guy is ruthless. Natalie, do you want me to call the police for you?”

Natalie shook her head. She glanced at the angry Declan and said, “No need. A person like him is just a tool. Once he’s no longer useful, he’ll be tossed aside. Let someone else deal with him; it’s not worth getting our hands dirty.”

Maurice then pushed Declan away, giving him a cold, warning look.

Declan bullies the weak but wasn’t afraid of Natalie. He said, “Natalie, who is he? Is he your secret lover?”

“Maurice, let’s go,” Natalie said with a bright smile.

“Why would she need someone else’s money to buy land? Sir, instead of falsely accusing others and scheming, you might better work on improving your intelligence.”

Declan was left speechless.

Maurice said, “Natalie, let’s go. Join me for lunch today. You always bring me lobster, and I never know what to treat you with. Today, let’s have some nice food.”

Natalie nodded and said, “Sure, now that the design plans are sorted out, I’m not too busy. With winter coming, I’m getting ready for it. James is returning in a few days, and Gordon will return for my birthday.”
