Chapter 260
Natalie shook her head and said, "Wright, my brother has already told me I canโt race anymore. If I join your team, he will be even angrier. Heโs still not speaking to me right now. Thereโs a championship next spring. To thank you for your help today, I can compete in the championship for you then?"
Natalie thought, "Mr. Wright seems easygoing. I can befriend him." George might look carefree, but behind the scenes, he was running a huge company. His abilities and connections should not be underestimated.
George laughed heartily, his eyes squinting slightly as he looked at Natalieโs bright and confident face, finding her incredibly fascinating.
He said, โMs. Shawn, thatโs wonderful. Letโs exchange contact information. Iโll have the contract and all the paperwork sent over right away. Someone will meet you at the notaryโs office tomorrow, and once itโs notarized, the land will be yours. When you finish building the villa, be sure to invite me over to hang out.โ
Natalie smiled and said, โMr. Wright, I canโt take it for free. I know you spent 6.5 million dollars to buy the land. How about you sell it to me for 15 million dollars?โ
That land was huge; it even included the hillside in the back. And there was the ocean right in front. Turning it into a vacation spot would be absolutely perfect.
When George heard Natalieโs offer, he wondered if the land was about to appreciate. But then, he realized it was at the foot of the mountain, he thought it was maybe just enough to build a village.
Since he already promised Natalie, there was no turning back. Plus, he would make an extra eighty thousand dollars and a competition. George found it a great deal.
He was a businessman, and in his world, not making money when one could was just foolish.
After figuring all these out, he said, โDeal, Ms. Shawn. But what about your brotherโฆ I mean, what about Declan?โ
Declan suddenly looked at Natalie; he didnโt say anything this time.
Natalie laughed and said coldly, โMr. Wright, Iโm not involved with them anymore. His issues donโt concern me.โ In short, they were unrelated.
Declan said, โNatalie, youโฆ we areโฆโ
Natalie turned and interrupted him, โDonโt say it because youโre not worthy! Declan, weโre going our separate ways.โ Declan glared at Natalie, sulking in silence. In the past, Natalie would always find a way to make him happy whenever he got upset. He didnโt believe that Natalie would leave him alone.
Soon, George brought over the contract. The rest would wait until the next dayโs notarization at the office.
Once the formalities were completed, Natalie was thrilled. She looked at George and said, โThank you, Mr. Wright. Iโm heading out now.โ
โAlright! See you tomorrow!โ George said as he waved goodbye to Natalie.
With the contract in hand, Natalie left.

Chapter 260
Declan stared in shock at Natalie. He shouted, โNatalie, are you not going to help me? Iโm giving you one more chance to save me."
Natalie didnโt even glance at Declan and headed straight for the door.
Declan was stunned. He couldnโt believe the fact that Natalie cared for the land and not for him, and she left like that.
He angrily shouted, โNatalie, werenโt those just usual scoldings when you framed Jennifer? And now youโre holding a grudge? You cruel woman, youโll never match up to Jennifer. To me, sheโs the only real sister. Who do you think you are? Donโt you dare show me that attitude, Natalie, come back!"
But Natalie walked away without turning back.
Only then did Declan hang his head in defeat. He realized that Natalie had really changed; she was no longer easy to bully. George slapped Declan hard and said, โLoser, keep calling until someone comes to pay and we can let him go.โ
With no other choice, Declan had to call Nick, asking him to come and bail him out.
Natalie was stopped by Easton.
Natalie was surprised to see him. She wondered why he was there.
Easton frowned and asked, โArenโt you going to save Declan?โ
Declan was excited to see Easton. He shouted, โEaston, did you come to rescue me? Did Jennifer ask you to come? Sheโs always been the kindest to me, unlike some backstabbers who are cold and ungrateful.โ
Natalie turned around and smiled at Declan. She said, โI left a card to pay for what I have used in your family. While I was staying at your place, you all just bullied me and never actually gave me anything. And you dare to call me a backstabber."
Declan was at a loss for words.
While Natalie stayed in the house, she wore Jenniferโs hand-me-downs, though she seldom put them on.
Because Natalie came from an impoverished town and was considered an embarrassment to the Simpsons, everyone treated her badly. They believed she was malicious, always trying to frame Jennifer, so everyone in the Simpson family disliked her.
Natalie looked at Easton with a mocking expression. She said, โI am leaving. Feel free to save your childhood sweetheartโs brother.โ
Easton gritted his teeth and said, โIโm not here to rescue him.โ
Natalie was surprised. She asked, โIf you donโt save Declan, arenโt you worried your childhood sweetheart will cry?โ
Easton said, โNatalie, do you have to speak so sarcastically?โ
Natalie laughed in exasperation. She replied, โMr. Garcia, Iโm just stating the facts. Besides, Declan called me here to be trampled by those men, saying that as long as I donโt get killed, I can be treated however they want. Easton, youโre practically in bed with the Simpson family. And you want me to make it sound nice? Youโre dreaming!โ
After that, Natalie walked around Easton, got into a red sports car parked by the road, and drove off.
Declan wouldnโt let Easton off the hook; he shouted excitedly, โEaston, help me, hurry!โ

Easton heard the earlier conversation. The Simpson family was just bad; they were downright malicious. Before, he was stubborn and oblivious to the truth.
But thinking of the person behind Jennifer, he knew he couldnโt fully oppose the Simpson family yet, so he saved Declan.
After being saved, Declan said happily, โEaston, Jennifer called you, Iโฆโ
Before Declan could finish his words, Easton kicked him hard, sending him flying.
Everyone was stunned.
Declan was stunned by the hit. He looked at Easton and asked, โEaston, why did you hit me?โ
Easton looked at Declan coldly, eyes red. He said, โDeclan, I thought you were just a bit of a jerk with words, but I didnโt expect you to be an actual demon. You planned to hand over Natalie to these people for fun; as long as they donโt kill her, anything goes. You couldnโt even say that about a stranger, let alone a family member. Just wait. Once I settle this, Iโm going to make you pay for what happened today.โ After that, Easton walked away.
Declan was frightened by Eastonโs ruthless demeanor. He cried in pain, โIโฆ I was joking!โ
George looked at Declan and said, โDeclan, someone with your questionable character is not welcome in our circle. With Natalie under my protection, if you dare to bully her, youโre picking a fight with me.โ
The group arrogantly got into their car and left, leaving Declan standing there like a deer in headlights. He shivered from the cold, pain coursing through his body. He sat down with furious hatred.
He thought, โIt is all because of that troublemaker, Natalie, and I wonโt let her go this time. By the way, where did she get 15 million dollars?โ
