Khloe found his words amusing and looked at him with disdain, asking, “Vance, what if we don’t give your money back?”

Vance stared at her twisted, ugly face, wondering why he ever thought she was beautiful. At that moment, the malicious Khloe looked utterly disgusting.

He snarled with anger and arrogance. “Khloe, then let’s all die here in the ocean together!”

Khloe and the man beside her furrowed their brows slightly, then burst into laughter as if they’d heard a joke. The two laughed recklessly.

Their laughter abruptly stopped, menace gleaming in Khloe’s eyes. She mocked, “Vance, I just took a few million from you, and you’re chasing me down to kill me. I’m giving you a chance. Write a contract stating that the money was a voluntary gift, and if you don’t try to take it back, I’ll spare your life.”

Vance sneered. “What if I refuse to write it?”

He was determined to make Khloe pay. Once on shore, he’d call the police.

Behind him was the vast, blue ocean, breathtakingly beautiful, with glistening waves that captivated the soul.

Khloe sneered, her heart filled with a desire to kill. Those millions were an amount she could never earn in her entire life. She tilted her head back slightly and smiled as she looked at Vance.

Khloe said, “Vance, today it’s you who has to die. I never liked you. I was only after your money. If Jennifer hadn’t promised me 300 thousand dollars to lead you on, I wouldn’t have gone after someone like you, an idiot doomed for disgrace. The day before our wedding, she transferred the money to me. Do you really think I’d spend my whole life with an idiot like you?”

Vance was shocked to hear this. “Are you saying Jennifer told you to seduce me?”

Vance thought, “Why Jennifer? He treated her so well, even at the expense of disregarding his own sister to spoil her. In the end, it turned out Jennifer was the one who plotted against him.”

Vance felt such heartache that he could hardly breathe. He had thought of many possibilities but never imagined it would be Jennifer.

Stunned, he stepped back, steadying himself on the edge of the boat to regain his balance.

Khloe looked menacing, her eyes like poisoned daggers as she glared at the foolish Vance. She said, “Vance, you’re such a fool. Of course, Jennifer wouldn’t want you to marry Tiana. With the Gillett family’s support, she won’t get what she wants. This outcome is no surprise; you brought this stupidity on yourself.”

Vance was completely shocked. His laughter was bitter, and his heart ached deeply. He thought, ‘So, that’s how it is, and this is what it feels like to give my heart to the wrong person. Jennifer wanted not the Simpson family, but the Tompson family, Wendy’s company, and Vance’s grandparents’ assets.’

So, for that worthless person, Vance ended up hurting his own sister and mom.

Vance laughed in sorrow, his face twisted with despair, his eyes filled with intense hatred.

When Khloe saw his crazed grin, she furrowed her brows with disgust. “Vance, stop smiling and focus on the issue at hand. Are you going to write the voluntary donation contract or not?”

Vance glared at them with murder in his eyes. “Khloe, even if I die, I’m taking you all down with me!” His wild gaze terrified Khloe.

The man next to Khloe had an increasingly dark look in his eye. “Khloe, we’re out here at sea, no cameras. Let’s finish him and live on the island. No one will bother us again.”

If Vance didn’t die, there would be lots of trouble later.

Khloe nodded resolutely. “Okay!”

Vance sneered and kicked Khloe in the chest.

Khloe screamed and stumbled back, almost falling into the ocean, but the man quickly grabbed her. Her chest hurt badly as she glared at Vance with teary eyes.

Khloe yelled, “Vance, how dare you hit me? You’re asking for it.” The two exchanged a glance and rushed at him together.

Vance almost never exercised and didn’t stand a chance in the fight. Khloe fiercely scratched and poked at him, making him cry out in pain.

As soon as he forcefully pushed Khloe away, the man picked up a nearby metal rod and drove it right through Vance’s thigh. Vance was in so much pain he nearly passed out, feeling like the agony would finish him right there.

The man yanked the metal rod out with force, and Vance fainted from the pain.

Khloe was frightened by his ruthlessness. “You–”

With a loud splash, the unconscious Vance was pushed into the sea.

The man watched as Vance’s body slowly sank and sneered. “There are sharks around here. His blood scent will quickly attract them, and soon there won’t be anything left of him.”

Khloe saw the malice in his eyes and suddenly felt a sense of crisis. She thought, Would he be willing to kill me for money?

Swallowing hard, Khloe watched as Vance’s body gradually disappeared and said, “Hurry up and start the boat before anyone sees us. If we’re caught, we’re doomed.”

The man squinted at her, his eyes full of murderous intent. Those millions were enough for him to live comfortably for the rest of his life.

Khloe noticed the murderous look in his eyes and was terrified. She was now on her guard. Watching the spot where Vance fell into the sea, she realized too late that he was the best person in her life.

He was willing to spend money on her and take the time to keep her company.

At two in the morning, if she wanted ice cream, he would go to a 24–hour supermarket to get her some.

When she had menstrual cramps, he’d make her brown sugar water and gently coax her to sleep, always coming up with new ways to entice her with delicious food.

Vance was genuinely good to her. But she had destroyed all of it with her own hands.

Tears streamed down Khloe’s face, her heart ached with regret. Seeing Vance lost to the sea, she realized she truly regretted it.

“Vance, I’m sorry… I’m sorry, I really didn’t want to do this to you.” She cried her heart out, but Vance was gone for good.

She stared blankly at the calm sea, her eyes filled with regret and pain.

Khloe forced a smile. If it weren’t for this deal, she wouldn’t have been able to let Vance go.

He would be a great husband, cherishing her forever. But in this world, there were no regrets or if only.

Khloe cried, “Vance, I’m sorry. I’ve wronged you. If I meet you in the next life, I’ll definitely love you truly…”

She came from a tough background, always looked down upon by her family as a girl. Yet, she forgot that suffering and was influenced by those around her, becoming malicious, forgetting that she was once kind–hearted.

At this moment, Natalie had just caught an emperor starry grouper. The fish was incredibly tender, and Natalie always treated it as a rare gem for one simple reason–she loved eating it.

Happily, she placed the fish in her net bag and remembered seeing a big conch shell on her way over.

She dove back down to fetch the conch shell. The moment she saw the conch shell, she smiled. It was large and heavy in her hands, and she already knew how she wanted to cook it tonight.

She happily swam upwards, only to see a man slowly sinking to the ocean floor.
