Colin held Jennifer close, his gaze flickering as he stroked her waist. His tone softened even more. “Don’t worry, Jennifer. I’ll take care of this. If Natalie dares to use a livestream against you, I’ll make sure she regrets it.”

Jennifer feigned a helpless sigh. “But Vance ruined my reputation. I never thought he could be so stupid.”

Jennifer seethed with rage toward Vance. She thought, “That idiot has caused nothing but trouble. After all, his harsh words just now were enough to irritate her. Whatever bond they had as siblings was now beyond repair.”

Colin squinted slightly, and his hand on her waist grew firmer.

Jennifer bit back her disgust, her expression masking the loathing in her eyes. She thought, “How dare you try to touch me, asshole? Just mark this, within one year, the Wayne family will be mine!”

Jennifer had dressed carefully today, knowing she would meet Easton. She wore a tight-fitting pink skirt that perfectly showcased her curves. Her long, slender legs were alluring, and a slight bend would reveal just enough to tempt anyone watching.

Colin’s hand slid a fraction lower, and Jennifer let out a startled gasp, her voice dripping with feigned charm. “You’re so naughty, Colin!” she said coyly, her tone carrying a playful allure. Colin shuddered slightly, utterly captivated.

Colin became bolder, and Jennifer subtly moved away a bit. “What was the solution you mentioned earlier?” Her voice had softened as well.

The atmosphere in the hall was somewhat flirtatious. Colin pulled her to sit down right beside him. His sharp gaze flickered lightly as he smiled and said, “I’ll take care of it later, and the leading lady will still be you.”

Colin’s voice was ambiguous. He had been a ladies’ man all his life and naturally knew what it meant that Jennifer didn’t stop him. He was still vigorous in his old age, secretly keeping several young girls as his mistresses.

Jennifer wanted to go further in her career, and all she needed to do was throw herself at him.

“You’re very smart, Jennifer. Go to the room and wait for me,” Colin said.

“I’m not convenient right now. I’m on my period, but it will be fine in a few days.” Jennifer knew what Colin meant. Next time, when she was ready, she would make him ecstatic and then stop him from touching her.

Colin knew that there was still plenty of time, and he smiled. He made a phone call to his assistant, gave instructions, and then asked the butler to serve lunch to Jennifer. They ate lunch together.

Natalie chatted with Maurice for a while, going over some work details. Maurice stood up and said, “Your proposal is excellent, and I really like the designs. Now, I’m just waiting for the finished product to hit the market.”

Natalie smiled brightly. Running a business was exhausting, but also incredibly fulfilling. “Thank you, Maurice. Thank you for working with me. In the future, I’ll have even more new designs.” She thought to herself, “Come on, teach me more!” Maurice knew she was talented, and he was aware of the lengths the Simpson family would go to in order to undermine her. They mistook a diamond for glass, and if they weren’t careful, it would backfire on them.

Maurice’s gaze softened as he looked at her with a subtle kindness behind his eyes. “The live stream was amazing, Natalie. Isn’t it satisfying to strike back at your enemies?”

Natalie chuckled. “It definitely was.” She knew that the Chambers family was powerful, and she understood that Maurice’s position there wasn’t easy. He had built his career abroad, and only after that did his grandpa allow him to return.

The competition for the heir's position was fierce, but as Natalie looked at him, his smile grew even brighter.

The Chambers family’s situation was even more complicated, but Maurice was a man with great potential in the business world, and no one could stop his dazzling future. She had already approached this rising star, securing her spot early.

Natalie walked Maurice downstairs, and as they chatted, they were spotted by Easton, who had come looking for her.

Easton’s handsome face darkened. He thought, “What is Maurice doing here?”

Xavier, too, was taken aback. In the sunlight, Natalie’s smile was radiant. He just felt that she had become much better since her divorce.

Natalie didn’t notice Easton at all. As Maurice spoke, she listened intently, smiling happily after he finished. Even after Maurice got into his car and drove away, she stood there, still smiling.

“Do you like him?” A familiar, cold voice sounded from behind her. Natalie turned quickly, meeting Easton’s darkened gaze.

She knew why Easton was upset, but she was certain it wasn’t because of her. She remembered that after Jennifer returned, every time she tried to scheme against her, she would find a way to get herself a small injury, making Easton worry about her.

Seeing Easton so concerned for Jennifer always made Natalie feel bitter and heavy-hearted.

Now, seeing her laughing and talking with another man, Easton was angry. He didn’t want to see her doing this while she still held the position of his wife. However, he had no idea that her world had already collapsed earlier.

Natalie smiled faintly. “I don’t like him… Not yet. I’m not like you. Even if I do like someone, I’ll wait until after the divorce. I won’t mess around while still married. Maurice and I are partners, and we’re not as shameless as you think.”

“When did you become so aggressive?” Easton frowned as he looked at her. She looked so beautiful when she smiled at Maurice. However, she no longer smiled when she was with him.

Natalie’s smile faded, bitterness creeping into her expression.

She thought, “How did I turn into this? It was because of you. You all pushed me to the brink. This was just the beginning. There was so much more to come, and I would get it all back step by step.”

She said, “You’re the ones who made me like this. Why are you so eager to find me? Are you here to avenge Jennifer? Too bad.

“This time, it was Vance who ruined her, but I’m sure with your connections, you can help her salvage her reputation since she’s your precious one.”

Natalie’s smile grew dark, a mocking curve forming on her lips. With elegant steps, she turned and walked back to the company.

Xavier was surprised by how tough Natalie was. “Mr. Garcia, aren’t we going to discuss the partnership with Ms. Shawn?” Easton turned around and said, “Never mind. She doesn’t want to see me right now. Let’s go back.”

Xavier was confused, not understanding his actions. He had just pushed back the international conference only for Natalie, and now he was here to see her again.

Easton glanced at him sharply. “Where did Jennifer go?”

Xavier replied, “She went to Mr. Wayne’s house.”

Easton narrowed his eyes. “Keep an eye on her. I need updates on her every move.” He hadn’t expected her to go to Colin’s place. Jennifer hadn’t earned Emma’s trust before, so now she was turning to the Wayne family.

Easton knew exactly who Wayne was. It wouldn’t be long before everything on the internet would be cleared up. Jennifer would still be the heroine. Natalie’s move wouldn’t hurt Jennifer.

Xavier watched Easton’s calm, clear gaze and suddenly had a feeling, but as he was always blunt, it took him a moment to realize and then blurted out, “Mr. Garcia, have you finally stopped being swayed by Jennifer’s sweet words?”
