Chapter 74 Do You Have No Self-Respect?

What if Wade couldnโ€™t undo what Tilda would say? As her brother, how was he supposed to face her after that?

โ€œUnless Russell gets down on his knees and begs forgiveness from me and Una, Iโ€™ll make sure he and the Jensons lose every shred of pride!โ€

Stocks crashing? Perfect. Their family name in the mud? Even better. Sheโ€™d already cut all ties with them. None of that was her problem anymore.

The only thing she ever asked for was an apology. Russell had twisted her words again and again, and heโ€™d even hurt Una. She had just wanted a simple sorry. After everything sheโ€™d gone through, that was all she wanted.

If Russell had apologized back then, she wouldnโ€™t have cared to deal with the Jensons any further. But instead, the Jensons clung to her like leeches, sucking away her happiness and freedom. Russell was nothing but a jerk, always dodging responsibility and covering up with excuses. Heโ€™d even sent Blair to stop Andy and showed up at Orica University to mess with Tilda. So, unless Russell got on his knees and apologized, Tilda wasnโ€™t budging.

Andy let out a low whistle. โ€œAlright, I know what to do.โ€

She said, โ€œHereโ€™s the recording of Russell slandering me again at Orica University today, plus proof that Blair tried to bribe you at the airport. This time, Iโ€™m gonna drag him through court!โ€

It wasnโ€™t enough to destroy Russell, but it was more than enough to throw the Jensons into chaos. Once people found out, their name would be ruined, and high society would laugh them out of the room. The damage would be massive.

Andy smirked. Just imagining it already felt satisfying. Tilda had already sent him the clip. โ€œAlright, Iโ€™ve got it,โ€ he said.

โ€œIf you need more, Iโ€™ve got plenty,โ€ Tilda replied. This time, she was ready to go all in against Russell.

Andy chuckled. โ€œTilda, this might be the easiest case Iโ€™ve ever taken on. Youโ€™ve already gathered all the evidence. I almost feel useless.โ€

โ€œHaving you here is more than enough. The Jensons are one of the top families in Slosa. Most lawyers wouldnโ€™t dare get involved. Didnโ€™t you see their faces when you showed up? Russell came to find me at my university, and Blair begged you at the airport.โ€ Just thinking about those two clowns almost made Tilda laugh out loud.

Wadeโ€™s expression turned dark as he listened. He couldnโ€™t sit still anymore. He stood up and headed toward her.

โ€œWade, donโ€™t be reckless. Did you forget what you promised?โ€

Clive thought Tilda was way too harsh. No matter what, she was still a Jenson. She knew Wade was right there and still said those things just to sting. Expecting Russell to get on his knees and apologize? That was impossible. The only real outcome was a lawsuit, their family name in shreds, and the Jensons becoming the biggest joke in Slosa. And that was exactly what Tilda wanted. So, Clive wasnโ€™t surprised Wade wanted to confront her.

โ€œI remember. Relax, Iโ€™m calm.โ€ The old Wade wouldโ€™ve blown up and fought her on the spot. But this time was different.

When Wade walked up, Tilda still acted like he didnโ€™t exist. She sipped her wine, chatting casually with Andy and smiling like she had no worries.

Suddenly, Wade froze. Heโ€™d never paid attention to the way Tilda drank before. The wine had put a soft blush on her cheeks. Under the candlelight, her eyes shimmered like stars. She only gave that look to people she truly trusted. Back then, Wade had seen it as well.

โ€œTilda.โ€ He steadied himself and spoke. His tone was calm. No matter how much he regretted what had already happened, it was useless now. What counted was what he did now.

Tilda acted like she hadnโ€™t even heard him, still treating him like thin air. Seeing that, Wade pressed on. โ€œTilda, I need to talk to you.โ€

Finally, she turned, like she was granting him a favor. She shot him a mocking sneer. โ€œDo you have no self-respect?โ€

โ€œโ€ฆWhat?โ€

โ€œYou fainted when I broke your record. You embarrassed yourself in front of me and still donโ€™t get the hint. I donโ€™t want anything to do with you. Yet here you are, chasing after me again. So tell me, was I wrong when I said youโ€™ve got no dignity? Andy, donโ€™t you agree?โ€

Tilda twirled her glass lazily, her eyes never leaving Andy, like Wade wasnโ€™t even there.
