Out of the Shadows: Tildaโ€™s Brilliant Second Life

Chapter 113 Letโ€™s Make It a Challenge

"Are they fighting?"

"That pretty girl looks like sheโ€™s been crying so hardโ€ฆ"

"Why do women always have to make things hard for each other?"

"Theyโ€™re all so pretty, but who knew theyโ€™d be so hot-tempered?"

The crowd started whispering and pointing.

Una rolled her eyes so hard it nearly hurt. Are these people for real?

Havenโ€™t they heard the saying, โ€œDonโ€™t judge someone elseโ€™s life unless youโ€™ve walked in their shoesโ€?

They donโ€™t even know the first thing about Kyla โ€“ her name, her background, nothing โ€“ yet the second she starts crying, everyone jumps to defend her.

Itโ€™s so obvious sheโ€™s just a manipulative drama queen, always crying to play the victim and milk people for sympathy!

Honestly, how can people go through all those years of education and still have zero common sense?

She remembered reading a line in a book once: โ€œWhen clueless people jump in and tell you to be the bigger person, just punch them in the face and tell them the same thing. That way, theyโ€™ll finally get a taste of their own medicine!โ€

Those were definitely words to live by!

Seeing Kyla crying, Rebecca shot Una a vicious glare. โ€œApologize to Kyla right now!โ€

Una fired back, โ€œWhy donโ€™t you apologize to Tilda? Youโ€™re the one who tried to frame her and then pretended to be the victim!โ€

โ€œYou motherfucking-!โ€

Rebecca couldnโ€™t hold back her temper and tried to slap Una across the face. No one had ever dared talk back to Rebecca, let alone insult her out loud.

Clearly, Una needed to be taught a lesson.

But Tilda caught Rebeccaโ€™s wrist before she could land the slap.

Tilda was so strong that Rebecca couldnโ€™t break free. โ€œLet go of me!โ€

โ€œOkay.โ€

Tilda gave her wrist a sharp twist, and Rebecca was flung away by a force she couldnโ€™t resist. She landed hard right on her backside.

"Ow!" Rebecca was in so much pain that her face twisted uncontrollably.

โ€œRebecca!โ€ Kyla rushed to help her up.

โ€œTilda, youโ€™re way out of line! How could you bully Rebecca like that? I know you hate me. If you have a problem, take it out on me!โ€

Kyla stared at Tilda with swollen, red-rimmed eyes, looking completely wronged.

Just then, someone in the crowd recognized Tilda.

โ€œNo wonder she looked so familiar โ€“ isnโ€™t that Tilda Jenson, the girl who sued her own father, Russell Jenson?โ€

โ€œOh wow, thatโ€™s her? Sheโ€™s been all over the news lately.โ€

โ€œThat means the other girl must be Kyla, the Jensonsโ€™ adopted daughter. I heard Tilda already cut ties with the Jensons. I canโ€™t believe she still goes around bullying Kyla like this!โ€

โ€œI used to think Tilda must have had a reason to cut ties with the Jensons, but now she just looks nasty.โ€

Kylaโ€™s lips curled up into a subtle, satisfied smile.

The more Una listened, the more annoyed she got. โ€œNone of you know whatโ€™s really going on, so keep your mouths shut! If you have something to say, say it to our faces!โ€

Unaโ€™s outburst stunned the whole crowd into silence. But now, deep down, people felt even more resentment toward Tilda.

Rebecca, furious and still in pain, leaned on Kyla and shouted, โ€œTilda! You pushed me! Iโ€™m calling the police. Iโ€™ll sue you for assault!โ€

"You say where I hurt you, but thatโ€™s just your side of the story."

โ€œBut everyone saw you try to hit Una."

โ€œSo what I did was self-defense. If this goes to court, do you really think you can win this?โ€

Tildaโ€™s calm, icy words hit everyone like a bucket of cold water. She was right โ€“ that was exactly what they saw.

Everyone had seen Rebecca try to slap Una. Tilda only stepped in and stopped her.

Even if Rebecca ended up falling later because of Tildaโ€™s shove, she was the one who started it. Sheโ€™d have a hard time winning sympathy if things got serious.

Kyla hadnโ€™t expected her usual tactics to be shut down by just a few words from Tilda. Even Rebecca was left speechless, fuming with frustration.

Tilda simply grabbed Unaโ€™s hand and turned to leave. As the crowd grew and Tilda gained the upper hand, Kyla realized sheโ€™d better back off before things got out of hand โ€“ she didnโ€™t want any more drama for the Jensons.

Even though Kyla didnโ€™t know all the details, she was aware that Russell, Blair, and Dominic had all been busy dealing with the Jenson Groupโ€™s lawsuit and hadnโ€™t been home in days. Even Howard and Wade had been leaving the house early and coming home late.

Kyla couldnโ€™t help feeling confused. Wasnโ€™t everything supposed to get better after the press conference? Why did things still seem so serious?

She wanted to help, but the Jensons kept telling her not to worry about it and just go have fun. If anything else happened now, with Tildaโ€™s reputation already in ruins with the Jensons, Kyla was afraid sheโ€™d get dragged down too.

But Rebecca wasnโ€™t about to let things go so easily.

She broke free from Kyla, stormed up to Tilda, and snarled, โ€œTilda, if you think Iโ€™m wrong, why donโ€™t we settle this once and for all? Letโ€™s make it a challenge. The loser has to kneel to the winner and bark like a dog!โ€

Rebecca was absolutely furious.
