Chapter 29

After all, they couldn’t answer any of these questions. They had no idea if the marriage was real or not. The couple’s expressions darkened progressively as more questions poured in. Celina, who had been completely ignored, looked even worse. She gave up greeting the guests and sat sulking on a couch in a corner, bitterness and hatred in her eyes.

When Stella and Rowan were trending last night, Celina instantly called the Mo family to expose the engagement between the Mansfield and Mo families and portray Stella as a shameless mistress. However, before they could even finalize the plan, Rowan suddenly posted a photo of their marriage certificate and ruined their plan.

Celina still refused to believe that Stella and Rowan were married. There was no way someone as high and mighty as Rowan could ever fall for Stella. The thought infuriated her.

When Randy entered the banquet hall, she got up and rushed over. Her eyes stung with tears as she tried to throw herself into his arms, "Randy…"

He turned to the side and coldly dodged her. His gaze swept across the banquet hall as he asked, "Where’s Stella?"

Celina nearly fell. Luckily, her mother, Jessie, caught her arm. As Celina steadied herself, she heard Randy asking about Stella, and her expression turned even uglier. She was pissed that everyone was asking about Stella. Today was supposed to be her big day. She clenched her teeth, put on a pitiful expression, and said, "She’s probably with Rowan."

Upon hearing this, Randy’s expression clouded. After his arm was dislocated by Joseph, and after he got kicked by Stella last night, he visited the hospital. His arm wasn’t too bad, but the kick had done some damage. Stella hadn’t held back at all.

Randy was upset, and all he wanted was to make Stella pay. How can she treat him like that? Was it because he had been kind to her that she no longer knew her place? He’d spent the whole night lying in the hospital with his phone off, not wanting to hear from anyone. But mostly, he didn’t want to hear from Stella. Nobody knew her better than he did. He knew how much she despised Rowan, and that was why he was the last to believe she’d ever be with him.

Even if Rowan had taken her away in front of everyone, Randy still believed it was all an act. He was confident that Stella was doing all this because she desperately wanted his attention. Unfortunately, he wasn’t the type of man who would fall for her little games. The more desperate she got, the more calm he’d be. He’d wait until she lowered her dignity and pride to come crawling back to him. Randy decided to teach her a proper lesson so she’d behave.

However, after Randy turned his phone back on, he saw no message or call from Stella. Instead, Warren and the others had bombarded him with messages. That was when he found out Rowan had posted his marriage certificate with Stella. At that moment, he couldn’t sit still anymore. Stella hated Rowan immensely; there was no way she’d marry him. Randy immediately called her, but he couldn’t reach her. He tried calling her assistant, but it was the same as well.
