Listen to this chapter:

Without exception, it was all to save Roschelle.

It was okay to be ignored by others.

She needed to learn to save herself, not just feel sorry for herself.

Alarieka didn’t listen or look, just focused on herself and slowly relaxed her body.

She noticed that her body really floated up slowly at a speed you could see with your own eyes, until she slowly came up to the surface, breathing easily.

Alarieka turned her face a little and saw Roschelle being pulled out of the water by everyone working together, then placed safely on the ground where towels had already been laid out.

Everyone was gathering around Roschelle.

Alarieka saw someone half-kneeling next to Roschelle, holding her tightly with both arms, like she was hugging a rare treasure, with so much care and love.

There was also Patrick.

Patrick usually acted like he didn’t care about anything, but now his face looked serious. He looked at Roschelle with pain in his eyes and pressed his lips together tightly.

In the past ten minutes, Roschelle slowly opened her eyes.

The people around immediately showed relaxed and content smiles.

Other people also slowly noticed that there was another Alarieka who couldn’t swim floating on the surface of the pool.

It turned out that finding out wasn’t a good thing either, because they pointed at her and loudly stood up for Roschelle.

“It was Alarieka, it was Alarieka who pushed Ms. Whitaker down, everyone saw it, it was Alarieka.”

“Yeah, I saw it too, it was Alarieka who pushed Ms. Whitaker down.”

Alarieka slowly closed her eyes, and all she could hear in her ears were everyone accusing her.

Half a minute later, there were two more splashes as people jumped into the water.

This time the voice sounded even more urgent than before, like it carried the raging anger in their eyes.

Alarieka didn’t open her eyes yet, but both her arms were twisted behind her back by someone, and her neck was grabbed by someone’s hand.

The angle and position of the arm were too twisted. Alarieka frowned and shouted, “Ouch.”

But the person came just to hurt her, so there’s no way they would change just because of her first word.

She opened her eyes: Just like she thought, it really was Kieran and Patrick.

It really was them.

Kieran and Patrick both looked grim, their faces dark and tense.

Without saying a word, they pulled her out of the water and threw her hard onto the shore, showing no mercy.

The skin and bones all over Alarieka’s body hit the floor tiles hard. The tiles were already hard, and when they hit the bones like that, it almost hurt to the bone.

Alarieka’s face went pale, and she clenched her teeth.

It hurt so much!

“Alarieka, did you know what you did?”

Alarieka propped herself up with both hands and sat up straight. It took her a few deep breaths to calm her heartbeat.

I hadn’t cleared the messy thoughts from my head when I heard a loud shout right by my ear.

“Alarieka! How could you treat Rose like that!”

Alarieka tried hard to blink, trying to squeeze the mist at the corner of her eyes out, and then put her hand on her chest, coughing hard.

She just fell into the water, got a lot of water in her nose and mouth, and really couldn’t stop coughing. She almost coughed her lungs out and felt awful, all soaked.

Alarieka had just caught her breath and was about to speak when a hand suddenly reached over, grabbed her collar, and lifted her up.

She tried hard to see clearly the person in front of her.

It was Kieran.

Chapter 192

Kieran had sharp brows and a fierce look, with a heavy, obvious hostility. His long, dark eyes were cold, like a judge from hell–cold with no softness or warmth at all. He watched every little change in Alarieka’s face and eyes.

It was like looking at a pile of stinky, disgusting trash.

The veins on the back of Kieran’s hand stood out as he grabbed her collar, gripping really hard.

Alarieka thought Kieran didn’t really want to grab her collar, but her neck.

Kieran’s voice was hoarse and low, like it was squeezed out from deep in his throat: “Alarieka, what the hell are you doing?”

Alarieka frowned in discomfort and was about to say something, but a sudden urge to cough in her throat made her swallow her words.

Kieran was so close that she could see every single one of his eyebrows.

She forced herself to hold back a cough and lowered her voice, saying, “I-”

Kieran kept pressing, his voice even lower: “Didn’t you know Rose was still pregnant?”
