Chapter 127 200 Vouchers
She took a few steps back: “Kieran, go back to your wife and kids.”
Kieran’s eyes darkened. “Alaricka, everything in the house was ready. You could move in today.”
Alaricka gave a sarcastic laugh, “Why would I move in? Kieran, I was doing great, feeling free, doing whatever I wanted. I didn’t have to worry about anyone drugging me, or people spreading rumors about me behind my back. I had lots of friends, and my life was full every day.”
She said calmly, “Right now, I’m very content, more content than when I was staying at the Argent’s villa.”
“So,” Alaricka said, “you didn’t need to worry that I wasn’t doing well.”
“The days after I left the Argent’s villa, I was doing really, really well.”
When Alaricka left, she didn’t look at Kieran’s expression, but she probably knew it wouldn’t look good.
When I got back to Jaylene’s place, it was already one in the morning. Jaylene had been waiting for her in the living room, so when she came back, Jaylene came up to her right away and grabbed her arm, looking her up and down for a long time.
“Are you okay? Kieran didn’t do anything to you, right? Uh, you’re really okay?”
Alaricka laughed and pulled Jaylene’s arm down, “I’m fine, don’t worry, just go wash up and get some sleep, we have class tomorrow.”
Jaylene frowned, “I saw Kieran carry you off. If you came back any later, I might’ve called the cops.”
Alaricka shook her head, “It’s fine.”
Just thinking about what happened with Kieran after she came out of the Argent’s villa that day made her feel so frustrated she could hardly breathe.
At night, she slept with Jaylene in Jaylene’s bedroom. They slept in the same bed, and that bed was a wooden one, really old. Even a little movement made it creak nonstop, so Alaricka didn’t even dare to move.
She and Jaylene had a long, tiring day and felt drowsy. It was just when she was about to fall asleep that her phone got a text message. Such a late text – Alaricka instinctively thought it was important.
She took the phone and looked at it with sleepy eyes. On her phone, it was a text from Kieran: “Checked, it was the servant who put in the drug.”
When Alaricka saw this message, her sleepiness vanished in a flash, and she gradually woke up.

She moved a little, and the bed under her creaked right away. Jaylene, who was sleeping, started breathing a lot heavier. She immediately didn’t dare to move, just stared at the text message on her phone.
The sleepiness in Alaricka’s head was completely gone, and her mind got clearer and clearer. Looking at the text message Kieran sent, her face gradually darkened.
“Rose was innocent.”
At first, Alaricka’s face could still stay calm, as usual. She typed a sentence on the screen: “What should I do with the person who drugged me?”
Kieran replied, “I’m Roschelle. Kier was taking a shower, so I replied to you.”
“That thing, I didn’t notice it. If I had noticed it earlier, you wouldn’t have been drugged. I was wrong too, I let you down.”
“About the person who drugged you, Kier left it all to me. I already fired her and called the police. The police already took her away.”
Alaricka’s blood almost went cold. She was totally sure that Roschelle was the one who put the drug in. She also knew clearly that Roschelle would definitely push things onto others. Alaricka also knew Kieran would go along with what Roschelle wanted and pin the blame for drugging on someone else.
She also knew that, right now, she couldn’t change these things. But even though she clearly knew all this, and clearly remembered similar things that had happened before, when she went through it again, she still felt suffocated.
Alaricka took a deep breath, and her hands holding the phone were shaking a little. After staring at it for a long, long time, Alaricka suddenly shut off her phone.
“Alaricka, what’s wrong? Still not sleeping? It’s really late.”
After a while, Alaricka’s voice was a little hoarse: “Yeah, I fell asleep soon.”

Alaricka turned her phone back on and looked at the two messages Kieran had sent. Her fingertip slid on the screen, looking at the chat history between her and Kieran.
At first, she added Kieran’s WhatsApp when she just came to the Argent’s villa. Back then, she felt shy and inferior about everything at the Argent’s villa and didn’t dare to get close. It was Kieran who took the initiative to exchange contact info with her and said the first sentence to her.
“Was it called Alaricka?”
