Chapter 230

Lynsey wasn’t very pleased.

“In your eyes, your son is just your possession, something to be used. So now that your son is using you, you’re unhappy?”

Thomas had originally worried that Michael was after the Hall family’s inheritance and had always been on guard. He never expected that Michael didn’t care about the Hall family at all.

One Altairy was worth thousands upon thousands of Hall Families.

With Altairy in his hands, it was no wonder Michael never paid attention to the Hall family’s matters. Previously, he used Jessica to return to the Hall family, but from the start, his core target was Jessica.

Thomas paced anxiously before finally sitting back down in front of Lynsey.

“It’s not like we don’t know what kind of person that guy is. Besides, Dad had an illegitimate son. According to the old man’s will, the illegitimate son is the rightful heir.”

Sir Hall had forcibly changed the will for Michael, even hiding it outside.

No one had found the will’s location until now.

Actually, not only the Hall family couldn’t find it, but even Jessica hadn’t found it.

They had talked about the will. A notarized will needed to have two copies. The lawyer held one copy, but who had the other copy was really hard to say.

Jessica and Collin had searched for a long time.

“Sir Hall didn’t have many special friends. In his last years, he was mostly accompanied by Jaden’s mother. According to Jaden, the will should still be at the Golden Mansion.”

But after searching inside and outside the Golden Mansion several times, they still didn’t find it.

“No,” Jessica shook her finger. “The Hall family would also think of the places that you’ve thought of. They just don’t know where Jaden lives yet. Once they do, the Golden Mansion will become their target.”

So Sir Hall wouldn’t put the will in such an obvious place.

“My dad protected me and the Hall family’s inheritance with countless precautions. He never expected even I would evade them. After all these years of searching, I think we should give up. If it really doesn’t work, we’ll just take it by force.”

As long as there were no other direct heirs besides him in the Hall family, that position could only be his.

“Na, I think you still need to do this properly,” said Chris. “You spent over 20 years hiding without legitimate status, but after returning to the Hall family, you need to gain everyone’s trust, especially since there’s still Michael as an opponent right now – he can’t be underestimated.”

Chris met with these people during lunch. The patient with the spinal curvature had already been sent to the hospital. Many inside the hospital were closely watching. The board also attached great importance to it. To them, nothing could stop the hospital from being listed.

Being able to take this time to have lunch was thanks to Chris switching between two surgeries that morning.

“You’re busy. There’s no need for you to come over especially,” Collin said to Chris.

Jessica sat right beside Chris. Hearing this, she put her champagne glass down on the table.

“Hey, don’t be so self-absorbed. We’ve both been busy these days. When I got home, he was already asleep on the sofa. He’s here to see me, okay?”

Collin was rendered speechless.

Seeing Collin’s expression, Jaden couldn’t help but laugh and knocked on the table.

“The headquarters of Hurricane Media has officially started operations back in the country. We’re preparing reports on the Summit Infirmary’s IPO. Recently, there’s been a lot of news in the entertainment industry, so we might focus more on the domestic entertainment industry.”

“Whatever. The hospital being listed is a small matter in the financial industry anyway.”
