Chapter 206

Listen to this chapter:

Jessica explained to Chris, “The Summit Infirmary is going to be listed, and having only the Wilder Group behind it isn’t enough. You also need people to see the connection between Hurricane Media and the Summit Infirmary. As the chairman, it’s time for you to make an appearance.”

Although Chris still wasn’t very familiar with such procedures, he knew Jessica wouldn’t harm him. Therefore, the next day, Chris brought Francesca to the Phillips family’s main residence.

At that moment, the Phillips family was in chaos, though Jaden and Collin didn’t seem to care much.

This group’s unreasonable clamor meant nothing to them–it went in one ear and out the other.

The butler announced that Mr. Green of the Summit Infirmary had arrived.

Collin and Jaden hadn’t yet received any prior notice. Upon hearing this, they simply exchanged a glance.

Jaden said, “Invite him in.”

“Looks like he really thinks he’s the master of this house! Why should the butler listen to you? Who even is this Mr. Green?”

“Coming to someone else’s home at this hour–how rude. Who the hell just shows up like this?”

The onlookers assumed the butler would ignore the order, but as soon as Jaden spoke, the butler respectfully turned around and went to invite the guest.

“I am the one in charge of the Phillips family. The butler takes orders from me. As for Jasper, he is my partner. If the butler doesn’t listen to him, is he supposed to listen to you noisy lot instead?”

“You-!”

“You insolent brat! I’m your uncle! How dare you speak to me like that?”

Collin leaned back, smiling faintly at them. “Uncle? You mean the one who took my inheritance after my parents died and sent me abroad to fend for myself? In that case, I truly can’t bring myself to show you respect.”

Everyone present had once taken advantage of Collin, and now none of them dared to say another word.

“This way, please,” the butler said, bringing the visitors in.

As soon as Chris entered, he saw the tense scene. Francesca followed beside him, carrying some items as gifts.

The atmosphere was almost comical.

Collin and Jaden sat on the sofa, both exuding strong personalities, while the others kept their distance.

The older members sat on nearby couches, and the younger ones stood behind them–forming an almost encircling formation.

When the so-called uncle turned his head and saw Chris and Francesca–two unfamiliar faces–he naturally assumed they were unimportant.

“You two, we’re having a family meeting right now. You should leave.”

Such impolite words didn’t bother Chris; he merely smiled slightly. Francesca stepped forward and said, ”This is Mr. Green of the Summit Infirmary, he is the chairman. I am his secretary, Francesca. We arranged to meet with Mr. Frost to discuss business. Is our timing inappropriate?”

Jaden’s heart skipped a beat but immediately understood Chris’s intention.

He exchanged a quick glance with Collin, who gave a slight nod.

“You’re early. In that case, we’ll have dinner later. Butler, book a table at Blue Sakura–Chris likes Galian Cuisine,” Jaden said.

The butler bowed slightly and left.

“The Summit Infirmary? The one that’s going to be listed this year?”

“The Summit Infirmary is backed by the Wilder Group! I heard a lot of hospitals wanted to recruit this Mr. Green.”

“What were you saying just now, Uncle? Did you want to kick him out? If Hurricane Media does the Summit Infirmary’s first feature report, it’ll definitely be huge!”

Chris nodded to Collin and Jaden. “I’ll follow your arrangements. Ms. Wilder will be coming tonight as well. Should we find a quiet place to talk now–or would you rather finish your family matters first?”

“No need.” Collin stood up and straightened his clothes. Even in simple loungewear, he still looked striking. “Let’s head upstairs. This way, please.”
