Chapter 95
"Alโ" Lily started, but Alexander silenced her, placing a finger on her lips.
"Don't say a word." Lily could only stare at him. From this proximity, she saw his Adam's apple move, a natural movement she found strangely attractive. Alexander slowly lowered his head and kissed her.
Since Lily had just bathed, her body was still damp. He had carried her from the bathroom to their bedroom, so his clothes clung to her skin, soaked from the water.
Even though Lily had neglected her boxing training in recent years, she maintained a lean figure. Regular workouts had given her abdominal muscles and a defined waist, complementing her feminine grace. Lily opened her eyes, dazed, to see his attractive, muscular body. She never expected him to hide such physique beneath his tailor-made suits. It was clearly the result of years of dedicated gym work.
Though pale, his complexion was healthy. The definition of his muscles captivated her.
"Alexander" she murmured.
"Call me honey," he teased, kissing her cheek.
"H-hoโ" Lily's cheeks flushed crimson. The word caught in her throat. Her face was as red as a tomato as she bit her lip.
Alexander chuckled softly. He had no intention of forcing the pet name; he would give her time.
Lily closed her eyes as his kisses felt like feather-light touches, gentle and slightly ticklish. She knew what might happen next but wasn't ready to stop him. Since agreeing to marry him, she'd anticipated this day, yet remained nervous.
When Alexander lifted his head, her body language betrayed her reluctance. Despite her tightly closed eyes, her eyeballs darted nervously. Her lips were pressed together, her hands clenched into fists at her sides. She didn't look like a woman in love; she looked terrified.
With a soft sigh, Alexander stopped. After a moment, Lily opened her eyes in confusion, noticing his stillness. She looked at him questioningly.
Alexander had regained his composure; the intensity in his eyes had lessened. His body still leaned against hers, but his hands rested on her arms.
Noticing Lily's open eyes, he asked gently, "Are you afraid?" Lily shook her head hesitantly, then nodded. She didn't want to lie; deep down, she was afraid. Embarrassment colored her cheeks.
