Chapter 900

"I used one of the pieces as an ingredient to make an essential oil, and the resulting perfumes became very popular," Lily said, a hint of pride in her voice.

Benedict considered this for a moment. "Are you referring to the Four Seasons series?"

Lily was surprised. "You know about them?"

He smiled and nodded. "I smelled them while working with a Bryxton modeling team. The scent was familiar, but I never connected it to those pieces of wood."

Lily chuckled. "That's why I should thank you. And I've also cultivated more pieces at my farm; they're germinating, and their shoots have an even more unique scent. I plan to observe them further."

Benedict chuckled at her enthusiastic expression. "You have a cultivation farm?"

"Yes! I'll bring you to visit someday!"

Remembering his situation, Lily paused, looking at him. "When will you be able to return to your family?"

"Soon. I should be going back shortly. We can meet again then."

"That's great!" Lily nodded, feeling a pang of something akin to conflict. "I truly hope everything resolves soon."

"It will," Benedict said confidently. Storms always pass; the sun shines again, creating rainbows.

As he rose to leave, he remembered something. "Oh, and perhaps we can collaborate someday."

Lily was confused. "What?"

He smiled mischievously, leaning in slightly as he saw her puzzled expression. "You'll know when the time comes. I think you'll be interested. Say hi to Mr. Russell for me."

Lily was utterly perplexed. Before she could question him, he was gone. "Why did he say that so suddenly? Is he close to Alex?"

Meanwhile, Nathaniel was engrossed in a significant project. He was accelerating the restructuring of top management and securing a substantial investment. He needed Derrick's shares to gain control of the company, but Derrick's refusal forced him to take another route. Nathaniel smiled smugly, looking at the document in his hand. It wasn't a tactic he preferred, but time was of the essence. The forged document was undetectable; once the shares transferred, his ascension to chairman would be seamless. With the document and the seals he'd taken from Derrick, everything was in place. He would soon enjoy the fruits of his labor.
