Chapter 797

"That's none of our business," Lily said, closing the door. She sat back down and continued feeding Olivia porridge. This industry was chaotic. The reporters weren't there for them; it was best to avoid involvement.

After eating two bowls of porridge and a banana, Olivia thought she heard footsteps outside. She guessed the reporters had left and felt relieved. "You should rest for a couple of days," Lily said. "There's nothing much happening at the studio, so don't worry. Once you're discharged, you can continue resting at home."

"Don't you have a new series of themes to develop? Can you manage it on your own?" Olivia asked, eager to ensure everything was going smoothly with Lisa's request. This was the studio's first major project, a significant stepping stone for them.

"I haven't decided on a theme yet, but I have a rough idea," Lily replied. "Give me time to think. We'll work on it together once you've settled down and are feeling better. I'll leave you with a few tasks, don't worry!" She smiled. She'd contacted Lisa's team but hadn't received a reply. Follow-ups were necessary, but she had to be cautious; one wrong move could be exploited.

In the past, Lily hadn't been so careful. Experience and hardship had taught her a valuable lesson. She was lucky to have survived and always had support.

Suddenly, the ward door was kicked open, and an angry young man appeared, startling both women. He looked at them in shock; they were strangers.

"F*ck, wrong room!" he exclaimed, then left.

"Why was that man so rude?" Olivia asked, stunned. He'd scared them and left without apologizing.

"Maybe he was looking for his nemesis," Lily said, half-jokingly.

Puzzled, she got up to close the door. The man's face seemed familiar, but she couldn't place him. She stood at the door, peering down the corridor as she closed it. He strode to the room at the end. He didn't kick this door open, but he swung it forcefully. He seemed to be in the right ward this time.

Screams erupted from the room. Lily heard words like "slandered" and "framed." She strained to listen but couldn't understand. Hearing movement in the corridor, she quickly retreated, closing the door and peeking through a crack. She saw the reporters from earlier rushing toward that ward, as if something significant were happening.

Lily quickly withdrew. Had she been slower, the reporters would have seen her.
