Chapter 753

As the workers moved the new equipment into the studio, Lily stood on the sidelines taking inventory, somewhat distracted. Olivia, busy and bustling about, loved the new studio. It wasn't just ideal; it was theirs, entirely theirs, and they could do anything they wanted. "Put this over here, and that over there," she directed the workers. "Hey, be gentle, okay?"

Olivia's high spirits were infectious. She noticed Lily holding a pen and notepad, but not writing, seemingly lost in thought.

"Lily, what's the matter?" Olivia waved. "You've zoned out for quite some time."

Lily started. "Oh, I'm fine. Is everything here and accounted for?"

"Almost. The equipment's complete, and we have more stuff than at our last workplace. Most of the tools are the latest models and have amazing designs."

Olivia, overflowing with satisfaction, couldn't stop praising the studio. "Well, I initially thought we had everything, but Alex said we should order everything to avoid scrambling later. I agreed and bought whatever I could think of. We can order more if you notice anything missing, okay?"

"You can't stop talking about him, can you?" Lily teased.

Olivia sighed enviously, leaning in close. "I'm happy to see you like this. You deserve to be happy, Lily."

"Are you not the same?" Lily asked, glancing at her. "When are you planning to go public with your relationship with him?"

Lily had long observed Olivia's relationship with Edward, but Olivia had never admitted it, so Lily let the subject drop. Even mentioning him made Olivia blush.

"What do you mean 'go public'? You're making fun of me again!"

"I'm looking out for your best interests. Isn't it about time you let people know, after so long?" Lily teased.

Before Olivia could respond, a voice called from outside, "Let people know about what?"

"Jen?" Olivia jumped up. "Why are you here?!"

"What do you mean, 'why am I here'?" Jen retorted. "Can't I be here?" She was carrying a large bag. "Since you guys are open for business, I should come and congratulate you, right? Don't tell me you're allowed to become bosses, but I can't come and envy you guys?"

Jen handed the bag to Lily. "All the best, okay?"

"You really shouldn't have!" Lily smiled, taking the bag.

"It's nothing special," Jen said honestly. "These are some materials I collected; some were raw materials the company wanted to throw away, so I kept them. As you know, I can only identify them; I don't know much about perfume making. Anyway, you might find them useful. I would have forgotten about them if I hadn't found them while tidying my house two days ago. Hope you don't mind."

"Why would I? Your gift is perfect!" Gifts like these were invaluable to Lily.

Someone outside called for Olivia to check if everything had arrived, so she left, leaving Lily and Jen alone. Lily poured a glass of water for Jen. "Everything's not settled here. Have some water first, if you don't mind."

Jen readily accepted the water. After drinking, she looked at Lily and asked, "Have you gone there?"

"What?" Lily asked, immediately understanding the question and hesitating to answer.
