Chapter 591
Lily knew she would only crave his warmth more the longer she stayed. Therefore, she turned and left without looking back. "I'm going now!"
As her hand touched the door, she was pulled back. "How are you planning to get back in? Jumping the wall again?" Though it wasn't a problem for her, Alexander worried about her scaling the five-meter wall.
"Nope," Lily smiled. "Someone will open the door for me."
"What?" Leaning in, she kissed his cheek and quickly exited the car. Alexander was speechless. This young lady was quick! He hadn't even reacted before she was walking toward the door. A lamp brightly illuminated the area, revealing the locked door.
Lily approached, mimicking a knock before stopping short. Slowly, she leaned against the door, scanning her surroundings. No one was visible. Her gaze swept past Alexander's car parked beneath the tree, then she shouted, "Come out! Open the door for me!" Alexander was unsure how to react. Silence met her demand.
"I'm going to count to three. If no one opens this door, I'm leaving! I'm leaving this stupid place!" Lily addressed the empty air, unconcerned. She began counting seriously. "One. Two..."
Alexander understood her strategy. Noah, having made considerable effort to confine her, would undoubtedly have someone watching, despite the seemingly secure location. While it appeared deserted, Alexander could clearly see the doorway from his vantage point.
Furthermore, Lily's seemingly simple action was effective. Being outside the door, if she simply left, Noah's efforts would be for naught.
Sure enough, before she reached three, someone emerged from the shadows. "D-Don't leave..."
Lily raised an eyebrow, straightening. She remained leaning against the door, now facing the breathless, helpless man. "Ms. Christian, you can't leave!"
"You're finally willing to show up?"
Embarrassed, the man merely bowed his head. Finally, he stammered, "How did you get out here? I... I didn't see it!"
"What's strange about that? I didn't see you earlier, did I?" Her casual reply left him speechless.
Knowing he was at fault, he said nothing. Lily stepped aside, allowing him to enter the passcode. He watched her carefully, ensuring she wasn't peeking. Lily found his cautiousness amusing. There was no need; even if she knew the password, they could change it instantly. There was nothing to see.
