"Someone complained about you littering and polluting the environment," an official said. "Please come with us to assist in the investigation."

Nathaniel's eyes widened. "I only released a few balloons! How is that polluting? People sell balloons on the street all day! Go arrest them!"

"A few balloons are fine," the official replied, "but a large number affects the delivery site and has consequences. You must accept responsibility."

"What consequences? What impact did I cause?" Nathaniel demanded.

The official adjusted his hat and glanced upstairs. "Someone complained that you disrupted their work."

"Who? Tell me! I want to ask them personally! Don't touch me! Do you know who I am?"

Being publicly arrested was humiliating. His struggle only antagonized the officials. Initially, he would have received only a fine, but his uncooperative behavior meant stricter enforcement.

Nathaniel was devastated. His carefully planned idea had ended before it began. He was taken away without even seeing Lily.

Upstairs, Jenny and Olivia watched, gleeful.

"Lily, you're amazing!" Olivia exclaimed. "You defeated the enemy without firing a shot! Hahaha!"

They found the situation comforting, considering Nathaniel's past indifference and Lily's efforts to help him. His ungratefulness and attempts to reconcile were laughable. Were people supposed to be treated like puppets?

Lily shook her head. "How boring!" She didn't know the details of his outburst, but it was childish and excessive, creating a company-wide spectacle. Their relationship was over.

Unaware of Lily's involvement, colleagues outside gossiped, feeling sorry for the man being led away.

"Alright, everyone, back to work!" Jenny announced, silencing them. She closed the door and turned to Lily. "It's quiet now, but he might repeat this. Will you continue avoiding him?"

"Let's get him taken away again!" Olivia chuckled.

Jenny countered, "What about the company's perception? And you have a new boyfriend, Alexander. What will he think if he finds out?"

Olivia's laughter died. She glanced at Lily, realizing the implications for her relationship with Alexander. She was about to say something, but hesitated.

Lily said calmly, "I'll handle it."
