Chapter 341

Sweat beaded on Lily's forehead after she moved the three muscular men. It was difficult for a petite woman like her to manage such a physically demanding task.

After securing the men, Lily went downstairs to inspect the rural wooden house. She knew that in such an isolated area, screaming for help would be futile.

The refrigerator contained enough bread and milk to sustain someone for several days. Upstairs, she checked on Giselle, who slept soundly, unaware of the danger. This was a relief; a sleeping Giselle was far preferable to a panicking one. Lily covered Giselle with a blanket, ensuring her comfort before returning downstairs.

She flipped the main switch, instantly illuminating the house. The two conscious men squinted, overwhelmed by the sudden brightness.

"Open your eyes!" One received a kick to the chest.

Lily pulled up a stool, sat before them, and munched on bread as she reprimanded them. "Who allowed you to close your eyes?"

Leonel remained speechless.

"Ma'am, it's a reflex action from the bright lights. We can't control it!"

"Who the hell are you?" Christopher asked, finally looking at Lily. His ability to speak indicated Lily's mercy. He noted her harmless appearance, lovely face, and classic Hyderland beauty.

He'd anticipated an easy missionโ€”a quick kidnapping for fast cash. Their instructions were simple: kidnap Lily, wait for their boss to contact them; no ransom, no killing. They hadn't understood their employer's anxiety, having completed countless similar, even more extreme tasks before. Kidnapping Lily seemed trivial. They were wrongโ€”and their carelessness was evident. Lily had completely turned the tables.

"Don't you know who I am?" Lily smirked. "Why kidnap me if you don't know who I am?"

"We're following orders. Your identity is irrelevant," Christopher replied.

"Oh? Who's your boss?" Lily pressed.

Christopher fell silent, as Lily expected. The earlier incident confirmed her suspicion that he was the leader; extracting information from him would be harder than from his subordinates.

Smiling faintly, Lily turned to Leonel, whose mouth hung open, unable to speak. "He doesn't want to tell me. What about you?"

Leonel tried to speak but failed. His anxious expression gave Lily an idea.

"Oh! I almost forgot you're mute now!"

She approached Leonel, a grin on her face as she raised her hand. A moment later, he regained his voice.

"What are you doing?"
