Everyone was shocked when Lily returned to the embassy with Mike. A staff member quickly reported the news to Queen Yasmin.

Meanwhile, Lily noticed people watching her and Mike from a corner. Several guards, whom Lily recognized as the queen's attendants, soon appeared. They brought Mike and Lily inside for a thorough search.

The men relaxed only after finding nothing suspicious. However, Lily was left to wait in an inner room, without seeing the queen.

Returning to the embassy felt strangely familiar. Although she knew the place well, her perspective had shifted. She had previously loathed the embassy and longed to escape, but now she had returned with a crucial mission—to complete it and leave unharmed. While Lily remained calm, Mike was visibly anxious. He clasped his hands, glanced around nervously, and fidgeted with his legs.

"I'm sure you'll see Nicky soon," Lily said gently. "Try to relax."

Mike looked at her intently, pressing his feet to the floor to still his shaking legs. Though he seemed calmer, Lily noticed his stiff expression twitch slightly. She sighed, knowing his nervousness was unavoidable.

The pair sat for a while, unobserved and unseen by the queen.

Mike's anxiety grew. "What's taking so long? Why aren't they taking us to the queen?"

"Take it easy," Lily replied. "They're playing mind games. They don't know why I'm back, so they're testing us. I'm sure we'll see Nicky soon."

After a pause, she added, "Since they're not taking us to the queen, we should rest." She closed her eyes. She knew the embassy was heavily surveilled, that Yasmin was watching, and she didn't want to appear weak.

Despite this, Mike struggled to compose himself. Remembering his promise to listen to Lily, he sat back down, poured a glass of water, and took a few sips. Still anxious, he closed his eyes.

It was quiet, as if they had both fallen asleep. Didn't they return to rescue the boy? How are they so calm? They might be acting.
