"I promise I'll do anything you want," Mike begged desperately. He needed to see his son and decided to follow Lily back to the embassy. "If any of you go with her, they might suspect you. They won't suspect me. It's natural for me to want to rescue my son. I'm the best candidate; it makes sense for me to sacrifice myself for him."
After a short silence, Lily said, "You're right."
She looked at Alexander, who pondered before slowly raising his head. "Me too," he said.
Dominic tapped the table. "So do I."
Cameron, after a moment's thought, said, "I have no objections."
Austin spread his arms. "Since you all agree, let's do it!" He wanted to support Mike, regardless of his own feelings. Mike nodded, overcome with emotion. "Thanks, you guys!"
"Why thank us? Just be careful, and don't be rash, like you promised," Austin said, despite himself. Deep down, he admired Mike's devotion.
"I know. I'll listen to Lily and will never act alone," Mike assured him.
With everyone's agreement, Alexander turned to Lily, concerned. "When do you plan to leave?"
"As soon as possible," Lily replied. "Otherwise, the Queen might become suspicious." She added, "I'll pack and leave immediately."
Alexander couldn't help but ask, "So soon?" He knew it was necessary, but he couldn't bear to see his wife go so quickly.
"Queen Yasmin must be furious, and God knows what she'll do," Lily explained. "If she proceeds with the experiment recklessly, it'll be too late. I might be able to stop her if I go back now."
Cameron nodded slightly. "You're right." Lily's return could delay Queen Yasmin's plans, and the Queen's anxiety to return to Yudonia after Cameron's visit would buy them valuable time.
