After relaying the news to the trio, Dr. Blanc departed quickly, taking the documents with him. Alexander, Mike, and Austin discussed the matter but reached no conclusion. If the invisibility potion existed, finding Rhea would be even more challenging; they would have no means of tracking her.
Austin, unable to remain awake, fell asleep at daybreak. After a period of silence, Mike declared himself sleepy and also left. Alexander soon returned to his bedroom.
Some time later, Austin opened his door and stood quietly in the hallway. He approached Alexander's room and gestured to knock, but the door opened before he could.
Alexander stood in the doorway, seemingly expecting Austin. He gestured for silence before admitting him. After glancing down the hallway, Alexander closed the door behind them. He remained quiet, then beckoned Austin into the inner room. Once seated, Alexander asked, "You saw through it, huh?"
Austin nodded. "Those documents contained too many errors. Seeing how serious you and Dr. Blanc were, I figured you were up to something."
"That's right," Alexander replied. "Good thing you didn't expose us."
"The data in the document was irrelevant to the analysis," Austin said. "Aren't you worried Mike might see through this?"
Alexander shook his head. "Do you think he can tell?"
Austin pondered. He realized Mike's lack of expertise in the field prevented him from recognizing the inconsistencies.
"So, what's this all about?" Austin asked, tilting his head.
"We wanted to see how they'd react," Alexander said grimly.
Austin understood the gravity of the situation. "So you think he did it?"
Alexander's carefully laid trap indicated his certainty that the incident involved that man.
"Well, I'm also trying to give him a chance," Alexander sighed. "He can redeem himself if he admits it and works with us."
Fred's experiment was interrupted by Ross's visit, making visits to Lily and the queen inconvenient. He could only instruct his men to provide for their needs. Luckily, the numerous buildings allowed them to remain discreet, avoiding Ross's notice. However, the prince remained an obstacle. Fred anxiously awaited Ross's departure from the embassy.
Bored, Fred opened a drawer and found a small box containing the bottle Rhea had given him. He lacked time to examine its contents, so he pocketed it and headed towards Rhea's room.
