"How can there be anything we're unaware of? You know our daughter. She's just a bookworm, unlike other girls; all she does is read, study, and experiment."

"I think Cameron is trying to deceive you," Maria said, so protective of her daughter that she couldn't imagine anything being wrong. Fabian didn't understand either. While his wife was biased, she was right that Rhea's interaction with Cameron was minimal; she barely even saw Anastasia. "These two didn't play together as children and hardly ever met as adults. How could Rhea possibly offend Cameron?"

Maria noticed Fabian's silence and asked, "So, the project's failed?"

Fabian looked gloomy. "It's done. What can I do? I can't force the project from the Russell family. It won't work."

"Then what should we do?" Maria was desperate. She didn't know much about his business, but he'd stressed the project's importance. If it failed, it would ruin his company and their family.

"How about I beg Cameron? Men like you are too direct. Maybe I could still get something; even a smaller project?" Her voice choked.

"You've met Cameron before. Do you think begging will work?" Fabian's face was grim.

"Then what should we do?" Maria's legs felt weak; she nearly collapsed. She felt hopeless.

"We need to find leverage. Once we do, we'll control him for life," Fabian said grimly after careful consideration.

Maria was less optimistic. "How? After all these years, we'd have succeeded if we could."

"He only recently got a girlfriend. Don't you think that's unusual?" Fabian looked at his wife meaningfully.

Maria didn't understand. "You mean...?"

"If dealing with him is difficult, we target her. I don't believe Cameron is so incorruptible that I can't find a weakness!" Fabian snorted, gritting his teeth. "He can't blame me; he's the one mistreating us!"

"But you don't even know who she is. How will you do that?"

"That's my job," Fabian smiled, giving her a deep gaze. "Isn't that what you're good at?" He referenced her ability to find the miracle doctor. "Sometimes these women are better sources than any network."

"But..." Maria hesitated, still fearful of Cameron.

"But what? Stop delaying! Do you want to see our family destroyed?" He scolded her coldly.

The word "destroyed" terrified Maria. She clenched her fists. "I'll do it!"
