The saleswoman scoffed, convinced Lily couldn't afford it.

"Is that your business practice? What if I don't like it after trying it on?"

"Our designer can alter it to your satisfaction," the saleswoman retorted, studying Lily. "Though, I doubt you'll have that opportunity. The price is rather…high."

Lily's lips curled. "How high?"

The saleswoman, surprised by Lily's composure, reasoned Lily must be foolish. 'She's still asking after I said it's expensive! Fine, I'll humor her.'

"It's enough to buy your baby's diapers and formula for three years or more."

She chuckled, gesturing toward Lily's belly. 'What's a pregnant woman doing buying a luxury dress? She should know better!' She expected Lily to be appalled, but Lily remained serene, her expression unchanged.

Before the saleswoman could react, Lily said casually, "Oh, I thought it was expensive. I'd like to use my card."

The saleswoman was stunned. Thinking Lily had misunderstood, she stammered, "No, you don't understand. This dress costs seven figures. Seven…" Her voice trailed off.
