Chapter 1209
"Then what do you say I let both of you go, and give you the freedom you want?" Heather continued.
Hannah's eyes widened in disbelief. "What evil schemes are you up to? Tell me what you want, and stop beating around the bush!"
Lily, unsure of Heather's intentions, remained silent, observing quietly.
"I'm being serious. Since you like Ralph so much, don't you want to leave and spend the rest of your life with him?" Heather's offer was tempting.
Though suspecting a trap, Hannah was willing to risk it. She looked at Ralph, then at her sister, her brow furrowed. "Say it. Name your conditions." She knew Heather well; this kindness was conditional.
Heather nodded, a half-smile playing on her lips. "My terms are simple. First, sever all ties with the Riggs family. Never return home; the further you stay from us, the better!"
Hannah readily agreed. "Okay, fine!" She harbored no fond memories of her family and valued freedom over returning home.
Lily, however, viewed Heather's first condition differently. Heather had essentially stated the Riggs sisters couldn't coexist. While surprised by the ridiculous curse, Lily understood the family's superstitious obsession, fueled by Heather's near-fatal poisoning. Their belief would never change, solidifying their determination to keep only one daughter. Therefore, Heather's condition, though seemingly harsh, offered Hannah a way out. Severing ties would make Hannah an outsider, immune to family punishment, and the curse would effectively vanish with only one daughter remaining.
Lily studied Heather thoughtfully. She's bossy and domineering, but there's something different about her now.
Heather blinked, turning to Ralph. "Not so fast. Second, I want both your arms!"
Ralph stared abruptly at Hannah's hands. "You can't!"
Hannah pursed her lips, examining her arms. She knew it wouldn't be easy. I poisoned her, nearly killing her. How could she let me off so easily? It's just as I expected!
"Okay!" Hannah lifted her head, a cold chuckle escaping her lips, her gaze unusually steely. "The moment I started to poison you, I decided to die if I failed, knowing you'd never spare my life. How could a ruthless person like you allow me to live? I only consider myself lucky to exchange my arms for my life, my freedom, and my loved one!"
