Chapter 1175
"What's wrong? Don't you believe me? I'll take you home to see then," Hannah said, pulling Ralph to his feet. "Follow me!"
"Wait!" Ralph protested.
"What's the matter? Do you distrust me that much?" Hannah's patience was wearing thin.
Ralph was at a loss, laughing and crying inside. "We need to change before we go!" he exclaimed, gesturing to their attire. How could they leave the house dressed like this?
The journey to Heather and Hannah's house felt surreal. He'd been there before, but usually only stayed outside, entering only when Heather was in a good mood. Now, he was in their family car with the Riggs family's daughter.
They entered together, openly greeted by servants who humbly took Ralph's coat. Even inside, he felt dazed. While not comparable to the Russell Estate, the house was a welcome respite in his current state.
"Annie, am I dreaming?" Ralph rubbed his eyes, disbelieving. Hesitantly, he approached Hannah again, whispering, "Will we be okay here? Your sisterโฆ"
"My sister?" Hannah sneered. "She can no longer control me. She'll live as I didโno, worse!"
"What about her kickboxing?" Ralph found it hard to imagine Heather imprisoned. Her skills were formidable; she could easily defeat twenty opponents.
"Hehe, her kickboxingโฆ" Hannah's lips curled. "All skills are useless against poison. No matter how good a kickboxer, once poisoned, they're at the mercy of another."
A strange feeling bubbled up in Ralph. He wanted to refuse, but Hannah's expression intrigued him. He followed her down the stairs, heading towards the basement.
A guard stood at the basement door. "Any movement inside?" Hannah asked.
The guard shook his head. "No."
Hannah nodded. "Open the door!"
Heather, during her time there, never locked the door. She had too much faith in herself, considering Hannah insignificant. She never guarded Hannah, nor locked the door. Hannah knew this well, making escape easy.
Few servants remained in the house; most left after cleaning. Though Heather was paralyzed, Hannah remained cautious, preventing any escape. If Heather escaped, there would be no turning back.
