Chapter 191

Christine followed behind Seline. When she eventually stood beside Seline, she looked at Austin with a dazzling smile. Susanne placed her wine glass down, her aloof gaze falling on Seline as she said coldly, “It’s none of your business.” Suzanne knew Seline’s intentions very well. Hearing those words, Seline’s smile froze.

This bitch! The waiters were still watching, yet Suzanne didn’t even try to appear cordial. Damn it! Austin suddenly stared intently at Seline. Seline’s heart instantly skipped a beat. She quickly retracted the anger in her heart and smiled back at Austin faintly. Her face blushed warmly. Then, she deliberately looked to the side just slightly to reveal her collarbone and subtly pulled down her blouse.

If this man really liked her and had a decent family background and identity, she would consider marrying him. However, in the next moment, Austin turned to the waiter. His voice boomed, carrying a hint of a threat: “How did unwanted people get in even after I’ve booked the whole place?”

Seline stiffened. Unwanted people? The thoughts she had just been manifesting shattered into a million pieces with Austin’s ruthless words. The waiter’s face fell. “One of the ladies claimed to be your girlfriend’s sister.”

Austin frowned with displeasure as the waiter stuttered. His voice was cold as he ordered, “Throw them out.” A smile crept onto Suzanne’s face as she remained silent. The waiter was flabbergasted and turned to Seline and Christine, glaring resentfully at them. If his employer knew that such esteemed guests were unhappy at their establishment, he would probably be fired.

What were these two ladies up to, pretending to be family? What cheapskates! Seline raised her head to look at Suzanne and muttered wittingly, “You can’t let your friend do this, Suzanne.” The waiter stepped in and interrupted Seline, saying, “Ladies, we’re closed for a private event. We’re not serving external guests.”

Christine’s expression darkened. How could they throw them out just like this? She took a step forward and stood in front of Seline, screeching angrily at the waiter, “Do you know who she is? Who gave you the audacity to throw us out like this?” Seline’s eyes brightened. Could this man maybe see her in a different light if she revealed her identity?

Instead of stopping Christine, Seline subconsciously straightened her back. Christine pointed at Seline and announced haughtily, “She’s the heiress of the Yates family!” Her chest puffed up as she raised her voice as if afraid that other people couldn’t hear her.

As expected, the waiter immediately hesitated. Seline stole a glance at Austin. She thought it was best for Austin to know that she was the true daughter of the Yates family; he should understand that the person he should be currying favor with was her, Selor Yates, and not Suzanne. Seline tugged on Christine’s arm and gently yet firmly reprimanded her, “Don’t speak nonsense, Christine.”

Christine turned around to hold Seline’s hand, as if to showcase how adamant she was in supporting Seline. She cast a disdainful side glance at Suzanne as she mocked, “Look at a castaway who was discarded from the Yates family yet is sitting here, lying and pretending to be…”

Her voice deepened as her gaze fell on Christine. “Okay, and?” Humor colored Suzanne’s eyes as she watched this performance like they were clowns. Though they were ugly, they sure were entertaining. Christine glared at Suzanne and spat through gritted teeth, “And what? You’re just as unwanted a daughter. They should be throwing you out instead!”

She rolled her eyes at Suzanne and added with contempt, “Where did you get the audacity to think that you’re worthy of eating here? How embarrassing!” Seline giddily thought, “Suzanne deserves everything that’s being done to her here!”

It had to feel horrible to be humiliated in front of the man she wanted. However, on the surface, Seline pretended to mediate, “You can’t say that, Christine. She’s still your sister, after all.” Christine tugged on Seline hard so that they were facing Suzanne. She scoffed coldly, saying, “She’s not worth it! You’re too kind, Seline!”

The waiter saw how loud they were being and was afraid that they would embarrass the real aristocrats. While contemplating whether to still throw them out, a wine glass shattered into pieces after it was flung onto the table.
