Chapter 164
When Suzanne returned, Yasmine was already lying on the bed, her dress arranged. Chadquiramımber et bribes en het legs die to long-term acupuncture treatment. Suzanne leaned in and touched the bruised spots. Yasmine winced softly and hissed; it was painful when pressure was applied to those areas.
Suzanne burrowed her brows slightly. Looking at Yasmine, she asked, “Does it hurt really badly?” Subconsciously, Yasmine clenched her fists around the hem of her skirt. Calmly, she answered, “It’s okay. It doesn’t hurt that badly.” Suzanne examined the bruises before sitting down at the bedside. She then placed her fingers on Yasmine’s wrist to feel her pulse. A moment later, she said, “You’re doing fine physically. After this acupuncture treatment, the function of your legs should return to normal.” Yasmine’s eyes lit up. Gleaming with excitement, she asked, “Really?”
Ever since Suzanne started treating her, Yasmine knew she would recover under her care. Even so, it still made her feel ecstatic to actually hear this news. At the very least, she wouldn’t have to live as a disabled person. While Yasmine was extremely grateful toward Suzanne, she would still feel at a loss for words when she recalled the past.
Suzanne nodded and affirmed, “Yeah. As for the bruises on your legs, I’ll prescribe a few doses of herbs for you after your treatment. You can boil the herbs and use them in your bath.” While explaining, Suzanne made preparations for the treatment.
Actually, Yasmine wasn’t too bothered by the bruises on her legs. With a smile on her face, she shook her head and replied, “No worries, I’d be happy enough if my legs can function normally.” To her, everything else was not as important.
When Suzanne finished sterilizing her silver needles, she lifted her head and glanced at Yasmine. In a serious tone, she said, “Legs are important for a woman. We can’t leave the bruises as they are.”
Yasmine was taken aback. She was almost forty, yet someone was telling her that her legs were important and that her bruises shouldn’t be left as they were. She stared at Suzanne with a conflicted gaze. At the same time, her heart fluttered. Without saying anything else, Suzanne began administering acupuncture to Yasmine.
Yasmine was already used to the process. In the beginning, the pain was quite difficult to bear. Nonetheless, she was used to it now. After Suzanne was done with the acupuncture treatment, she started massaging Yasmine’s legs.
Yasmine felt a little uncomfortable. Looking at Suzanne, she uttered softly, “Aaron will be back soon. He can massage my legs for me.” Aaron was initially the one massaging Yasmine. Today was Suzanne’s first time doing so.
Suzanne shook her head and said, “It’s alright. I administered treatment in different acupoints today, so there are some differences in the areas I’m massaging. This way, we’ll be able to amplify the treatment’s effectiveness.” Suzanne was so focused on the treatment that she didn’t seem to notice Yasmine’s discomfort. Yasmine felt a little uneasy; she always second-guessed Suzanne’s intentions when Suzanne was being so kind. She felt…
After quite a while, sweat started forming on Suzanne’s forehead. Only then did she put a gradual end to Yasmine’s massage session. Suzanne pointed at Yasmine’s knees and prompted, “Try moving your knees and see if they still feel stiff and unnatural.” Yasmine moved her legs and tried bending them. In an instant, a look of surprise lit up her eyes. “Nope, it feels really smooth.” She felt stiff with every step she took before, but that feeling was completely gone now.
Suzanne nodded. “That’s great. That proves that you’ve recovered fully. Afterwards, get Mr. Stanton to continue giving you massages,” she said while packing up her silver needles. A short time later, Aaron arrived at the door. Enjoy Adfree Reading.
