Chapter 156

Mandy was furious but didn’t dare say anything. Instead, she pulled out her phone and called the family doctor, Dominic Lancaster.

Henry jabbed his good hand at the front door, his face twisting with anger. “That ungrateful brat! One of these days, I swear I’ll get rid of her!”

She was completely out of control! His anger surged so fiercely that dizziness washed over him. Seline sobbed uncontrollably, her voice trembling. “Why did Sue do this? It’s bad enough she doesn’t contribute to the family, but now, she even brought people back to wreck our home.”

The terrifying look in Suzanne’s eyes still haunted her. At that moment, she truly believed Suzanne was ready to kill her. Mandy’s heart pounded as she recalled the scene of Suzanne flipping the dining table with her bare hands. “She used to be so quiet, but lately, it’s like she’s a completely different person.”

Taking down a group of bodyguards on her own was one thing, but now, she had the audacity to storm in and destroy everything?

Henry frowned. Something about this felt off. Could it be that someone was backing her? His gaze shifted to Seline. “That man who saved Suzanne… Who was he?”

Since only Seline had been there, she was the only one who could answer. Mandy was just as curious. “Yeah, is he the one supporting her? If not, how could Suzanne be so fearless?”

Seline stiffened. If they found out how powerful that man was, they might try to curry favor with Suzanne. And then what would happen to her? Her fingers curled into a tight fist, but she forced herself to shake her head, feigning uncertainty. “I don’t know, but I did see Sue hanging out with him at a bar before.”

She hesitated before adding in a hushed voice, as if embarrassed, “He seems like one of those guys in the nightclub who are up for hire.”

“That’s impossible,” Henry said, his brows furrowed. If that man was just a club bouncer, where did Suzanne get the confidence to act like this?

But before he could think further, Mandy sighed. “She doesn’t necessarily need a man. Her grandparents…” she trailed off, but the implication was clear.

Henry shoved Mandy’s supporting hand away, his expression darkening with fury. “Shameless brat!” He gritted his teeth. “Such a disgrace! She should’ve died along with that useless mother of hers!”

Mandy’s hands trembled. If Suzanne really managed to take Yates Corporation away from them, all her years of careful scheming would be for nothing. Stepping closer, she glanced at Henry with worry. “Honey, what if the Frost family gets involved? And I heard her uncle is extremely protective…”

The mention of the Frost family made Henry’s expression turn ice-cold. “What are you panicking for?” he snapped, though his gut twisted. When he married Calista, Frost Corporation had helped him establish Yates Corporation. Over the years, their connection had brought him countless benefits. After all, the Frost family was leagues above the Yates family in power.

If they were truly backing Suzanne, then this situation was about to become a nightmare. Seline didn’t know much about the Frost family, but judging by the looks on Mandy’s and Henry’s faces, they were formidable. She clenched her teeth hard as jealousy burned in her. That wretched Suzanne—why was she always better than her? Some people just had all the luck. One day, she swore she would make sure Suzanne was utterly ruined!

Looking at Henry, she leaned in, concern evident. “Are they trying to take our company away?” She asked the question on purpose, planting the seed of fear in his mind.

As expected, Henry’s expression turned even darker, and he clenched his jaw. “Over my dead body!” No one was taking what belonged to him.

In the CEO’s office of Hall Corporation, Austin sat in his leather chair, focusing on the documents in front of him. His fingers moved swiftly as he signed off on papers. A knock interrupted the silence.

Gabriel, who was dressed sharply in a tailored suit, strode inside with a respectful expression. “Mr. Hall, Mrs. Hall just led a team to demolish the Yates residence.”
