“The money alone was substantial, so considering how long he’s been with Tina, it’s not surprising that he has spent that much on her.”

If it were only a few hundred thousand dollars, Jaden wouldn’t have gone to such lengths to relentlessly ask Tina for it in public.

Allison picked up her coffee. “Alright, enough about them. Let’s just eat. Once we’re full, we can go watch a movie.”

At the hospital, Tina looked at Eden lying in the hospital bed. “Are you okay? Did he hurt you?

“It’s not serious, but we can’t just let this slide!” A ruthless glint flashed across Eden’s fleshy face.

He asked, “Didn’t I tell you not to come out recently? Why didn’t you listen?”

Tina hung her head, her expression showing she knew she was in the wrong.

She said, “This new mall just opened, and I wanted to check it out. I didn’t expect him to find me. Mr. Loxley, I am sorry. I should have listened to you!”

“It’s alright. I’m not blaming you!” Eden pulled her into his embrace.
