Chapter 275: Stop Being Nosy

When Alexander heard Isabella's thoughtsโ€”that a crowd was approaching Damien and Deborahโ€”his eyes darkened. He immediately said, "Bella, discreetly check outside."

Isabella dashed to the door, opening it a crack to peek outside. She quickly shut it. "Shoot, they're heading this way. We'll be spotted if we leave now."

In the bathroom, Damien, having also heard Isabella, went pale with despair and resentment. "Whywhy is this happening?" Recalling his mother's, sister's, cousin's, and other family members' actions, he felt as if he might burst a blood vessel.

"Now's not the time for that," Alexander said coldly. He knew Damien wanted to calm down and find a solution, but the drug's influence prevented him. If not for his strong will, Damien would have lost control. Seeing Damien's indecision, Alexander took charge.

The bathwater already covered Damien's body. Alexander turned off the water, tossing Damien a towel. "If you can't bear it, bite down on this. Just don't make a sound. We don't want anyone to know you're here."

Alexander's steady voice was persuasive. Despite his confused state, Damien followed instructions.

When Alexander emerged, Isabella was trying to wake Deborah. Looking around, he said, "Bella, hide her in the closet. Let's pretend it's just us."

Isabella had an epiphany. Dang, no wonder he's the boss. Why didn't I think of that? If they find us, a married couple, together, they'll be too embarrassed to search, right? And if they dare, Alexander can intimidate them! Alexander was speechless at her thoughts.

Isabella quickly hid Deborah in a nearby wardrobe. Turning around, she saw Alexander tidying the room, concealing the shattered vase and Damien's spilled blood.

Meanwhile, Oliver strode menacingly down the corridor. The three Quirk family members unexpectedly intercepted him, seemingly oblivious to the crowd behind.

Part 2

"Perfect timing. You must be Oliver, right? We've been searching for our son and daughter-in-law everywhere, but can't reach them. We have an urgent matter!" said David.

Selena added, "I'm so anxious. Could you use the loudspeaker?"

Evian stalled further, suggesting, "Perhaps check the surveillance cameras?"

Oliver, eager to catch the "cheaters," was frustrated by the clueless trio. Enraged but constrained by their status, he cursed them inwardly.

"Talk to my mom," someone suggested. The Quirk family wouldn't let the "ingrate" escape easily; they needed to buy time for Alexander and Isabella.

Seizing the opportunity, Lydia approached the Quirk family.

Oliver's shamelessness surprised everyone. He pushed past the crowd toward the break room, like a man catching a cheating wife, exciting the onlookers. The invited reporters disregarded protocol, swarming forward.

Throwing open the door, Oliver yelled, "What are you doing?"

A female scream followed. "Ah, could it be Damien and Deborah?" Ruby exclaimed.

The Winters and Carney families pushed forward, Lydia's face darkening. She saw Ava's cold smirk. The realization chilled her; Ava's dislike of her son, driven by superstition, was unimaginable.

Deborah's engagement to Oliver meant a scandal with Damien would ruin his reputation, ending his chances as the Winters heir. Despair overwhelmed Lydia. Disaster seemed inevitable. The spectators' gossip grew louder, attracting more onlookers, all anticipating the drama. Their friends rushed over, worried about the scandal-free couple.

Part 3

The scene took a strange turn. The flashing cameras abruptly stopped. An icy aura filled the entrance. Gasps echoed as a chilling voice boomed, filled with suppressed rage: "How dare you barge in on my wife and me without knocking? Is this Winters family hospitality? Get out!"

The Quirks and the small group were stunned. It was Alexander, and Isabella's voice followed.

The reporters, intimidated by Alexander's aura and the lack of a scandal (a married couple), quickly retreated. "Delete those photos. You don't want to deal with the Quirk Group's legal department," Alexander warned.

The reporters frantically deleted the photos, fearing the Quirk Group's legal action.

Experienced individuals recognized Alexander and Isabella. They couldn't report it, but understood the situationโ€”the CEO of Quirk Group and the Justice Upholder, a married couple. The rumors were true. Oliver's actions had backfired spectacularly.

Oliver stared in shock. Ruby pushed forward, seeing Alexander cradling Isabella, who was frightened and burying her face in his shoulder. They were clearly in a tender moment, interrupted rudely, explaining Alexander's anger. Only they were in the room.
