Chapter 667

Theodore saw Richard about to call Sofia and snatched the phone away. โ€œWhat are you doing? Do you really want us all to end up in the ICU?โ€

Theodore was starting to panic. He hadnโ€™t seen the video of Sofiaโ€™s revenge, so he was already quite apprehensive. Now that he had seen Sofiaโ€™s attitude, he wouldnโ€™t dare admit to anything. โ€œRichard, this is serious! Someone could die!โ€

Richard shot Theodore a cold glance, his thin lips pressed tightly together in silence.

Theodore felt like crying but couldnโ€™t. โ€œThe situation is already messy. Explaining it will only make it worse.โ€

They realized they could have just run away on their own. They didnโ€™t have to bring Richard along. Running away would only make Richard feel ashamed. Now that they thought about it, it was quite embarrassing. But they were all scared out of their wits.

Lancelot rubbed his hands together. โ€œWell, Richard, since everythingโ€™s out in the open and Dan has already taken the blame, let him continue to take the blame.โ€

Theodore nodded in agreement. โ€œYeah, let him keep taking the blame. Besides, didnโ€™t you hear what Sofia said at the end of the video? She said sheโ€™d hit him every time she sees him. Iโ€™m sure Dan wouldnโ€™t dare go near her anymore.โ€

Theodore thought Dan wouldnโ€™t want to risk his life since he ended up in the emergency room after just one encounter. That meant he wouldnโ€™t dare go near Sofia again. That being the case, this matter was considered successfully settled for them.

Theodore was optimistic and didnโ€™t consider the possibility that Dan might retaliate for being beaten up so inexplicably. More importantly, judging from Danโ€™s recent behavior, he hadnโ€™t given up on Sofia. So, this matter wasnโ€™t truly over.

Stephanie and Sebastian reviewed the wedding venue together. The wedding planner diligently noted down their preferences and suggestions. The wedding venue was personally arranged by Lottie. Stephanie loved it.

After the discussion, Stephanie sat in the living room, sipping water. Her phone buzzed. It was a video from her contact.

Stephanie clicked it open. The moment she saw the image, she spat out the water in her mouth.

Sebastian walked out to see Stephanie like that. He hurried over to her, grabbing a tissue from the coffee table as he passed. In a tone both indulgent and reproachful, he asked, โ€œWhat happened? Choked on water?โ€

Stephanie handed him her phone. โ€œLook.โ€

โ€œWhat is it?โ€

โ€œDan almost got beaten to death,โ€ she hissed, thinking, โ€˜Sofia really didnโ€™t hold back.โ€™

When Sofia left, the way she drove off reeked of fury. At that moment, Stephanie felt Dan was done for. And indeed, Sofia was clear about her love and hate. She wouldnโ€™t show any mercy to Dan just because she once loved him deeply.

Hearing Stephanie mention Sofia, Sebastian narrowed his eyes and glanced at the video. He had been frowning ever since he heard about Sofiaโ€™s matter, but now he looked better. Seeing Sofia handle it this way, he had nothing to worry about. โ€œLetโ€™s go eat.โ€

โ€œLetโ€™s eat at home. The butler called and said he made my favorite,โ€ It wouldnโ€™t take long to return home. When it came to food, Stephanie still preferred eating at home.

Sebastian: โ€œOkay, Iโ€™ll listen to you.โ€ He took Stephanieโ€™s hand and walked out.

Half an hour later, the two returned home. Sofia was already back. After beating Dan, she calmed down quite a bit.

โ€œIt hurts so much. I think itโ€™s pretty serious,โ€ Sofia didnโ€™t usually complain about pain. She must have been badly hurt last night.

Sebastianโ€™s face darkened. After all, it was Sofia who had been hurt. Whoever it was, they deserved to die. He looked at Stephanie beside him. โ€œYou go eat first.โ€

โ€œArenโ€™t you eating?โ€ Stephanie asked.

โ€œIโ€™ll eat later. Be good,โ€ he coaxed gently.

Stephanie nodded obediently. โ€œOkay, then Iโ€™ll go eat first.โ€ She was starving. Although Sebastian had given her a lot of fruit and snacks, nothing could replace a proper meal.

Seeing Sebastian and Stephanie return, Sofia felt rather wronged.

Sebastian walked upstairs and said to Sofia, โ€œCome with me to the study.โ€

โ€œOh,โ€ Sofia said dejectedly, looking at Stephanie.

Stephanieโ€™s heart ached for Sofia. All girls wanted to be with the one they loved, but not only was Dan a bad person, he had done such a thing.

Sofia was furious today. That was why she beat up a group of people and only slightly calmed down.

In the study, Sebastian held a cigarette and said to Sofia, โ€œDo you want me to take care ofโ€”โ€

โ€œNo need,โ€ Sofia interrupted before Sebastian could finish. Revenge had to be taken by herself for her to feel truly relieved.

Just like when Stephanie was in Long Harbor, Sebastian had stepped in, but she still dealt with the Hart family and the Ashford family herself. She was too aggrieved. If she didnโ€™t take revenge herself, she would never feel at ease.

Sebastian asked, โ€œThen youโ€”โ€

โ€œIโ€™ll beat him to death,โ€ Sofia snarled. Just one beating could never quell her anger. There would be three or five beatings until her anger subsided.

Hearing this, Sebastian paused in his smoking. He took a drag from his cigarette and said, โ€œYou still want to beat him up?โ€

โ€œI donโ€™t just want to, I have to.โ€ What happened today was nothing. That was just an appetizer. Sheโ€™d definitely make him pay double for this later.

Listening to Sofia gnashing her teeth, Sebastian couldnโ€™t help but think that Dan was really finished. โ€œWhat about Richard?โ€

Richard was, after all, Sofiaโ€™s husband in name.

At the mention of Richard, Sofia went numb. She had just registered her marriage with Richard yesterday, and Dan slept with her last night. She wondered if Richard was her jinx. โ€œLetโ€™s talk about him later.โ€

She couldnโ€™t care about Richard now. She was still simmering inside. Then the storm settled down.

Stephanie was sitting at the dining table, eating her food obediently.

Seeing her eating like a little hamster, Sofia became less frustrated. There was something healing about watching Stephanie eat. โ€œIs the food good today?โ€

Sofia sat down opposite Stephanie, who pushed the chicken wings in front of her. โ€œThis is delicious,โ€ and now she carefully observed Sofiaโ€™s expression.

โ€œWhy are you looking at me like that? Donโ€™t worry, itโ€™s just a rapist. Iโ€™m not that weak. Iโ€™m not going to jump into theโ€”โ€

Stephanie didnโ€™t say anything. She knew Sofia wouldnโ€™t. But she had probably made Dan want to jump into the river. In Stephanieโ€™s opinion, if Dan had known this would be the outcome, he would never have dared to do it.

Sofiaโ€™s phone vibrated. It was an unknown number. She answered, โ€œHello?โ€

โ€œDamn you! Last night, werenโ€™t you with Richard?โ€ Danโ€™s voice, full of gritted teeth, came through the phone. Even through the receiver, Sofia could feel his rage, a fury strong enough to level mountains.
