Chapter 617

Recalling Sofia’s furious expression, Stephanie couldn’t determine if she had won; after all, A had gone upstairs to continue arguing. “She called Dan a bitch and even a stupid fake,” Stephanie noted.

Sebastian paused for a moment, then chuckled, “Quite an interesting choice of insults.”

“You have no idea. Dan, on the phone, was totally dumbfounded with anger?”

“Did you see it?”

“Oh, I heard it. He was so angry that he couldn’t even speak properly,” Stephanie said, her eyes sparkling brightly. “So, Lud’s the best at arguing, leaving Dan completely speechless on the phone?”

Sebastian smiled. “There are very few people who can bully her.”

“Now you’ve said it. Didn’t you worry about her?” Stephanie shot back. If he really wasn’t concerned, he wouldn’t have rushed to the hospital back then.

Sebastian sighed helplessly. “I was worried before, but not anymore.”

Initially, because of Dan, Sebastian had been a little concerned that Sofia wouldn’t handle it well. But now, after hearing Stephanie talk about how Sofia had totally told Dan off over the phone, he felt at ease.

Just then, Elliot walked in, followed by two women. Upon seeing Stephanie holding onto Sebastian, he instinctively turned and called out, “Mr. Giovanni.”

Stephanie propped herself up, looking over Sebastian’s shoulder to see Elliot. Two women in business suits followed him, each holding several dresses.

Sebastian turned his head, glanced at Elliot, and then said to Stephanie, “Go call Sofia down to try on the dresses with you.”

“Is there a party?” Stephanie asked.

Sebastian nodded. “Yeah, there’s an important birthday party. You and Sofia both need to go.”

“But I don’t want to go.” Stephanie had never been fond of parties, especially ones where people gathered to show off and flatter each other. She wasn’t in the mood for all that.

Sebastian affectionately pinched her cheek. “This one is special. We won’t have to go to others after this, alright?”

Reluctantly, Stephanie replied, “Okay.” She slid off Sebastian’s lap, turned, and went upstairs to call Sofia.

Elliot approached Sebastian respectfully and greeted him again.

“Keep tabs on Dan and that Lamberto guy,” Sebastian ordered coolly.

“Mrs. Lucano has met Lamberto today. I don’t think there’s any chance of them having further contact,” Elliot replied.

Lamberto had been very greedy for resources over the years, but he didn’t dare act recklessly. This time, he had been secretly dealing with Dan, not expecting Sofia to catch him in the act.

Actually, even if Lottie hadn’t met Lamberto today, he wouldn’t have dared either. But this served as a warning and indirectly cut off Dan’s path in Fiorenza.

Sebastian nodded, a flash of deep understanding crossing his eyes. “Then keep an eye on Dan.”

Elliot nodded. “Got it.”

There was a brief silence in the room.

“Mr. Casalini likely plans to use Sofia to clean up the Casalini family,” Elliot gently reminded. He thought for a moment before adding, “You know how she is when she’s angry – not really concerned about boundaries.”

If Richard wanted to face off against the Casalini family, those people would definitely involve Sofia. The relationship between the Casalini family and the Giovanni family had been weakening for years. It would only get worse if Sofia got involved.

Sebastian understood Elliot’s point and chuckled. “If she’s reckless, then so be it. Isn’t that precisely what Richard wants?”

Elliot fell silent, realizing it made sense.

“If she had any restraint, Richard wouldn’t be so desperate to team up with her,” Sebastian sneered.
