Chapter 617

Recalling Sofiaโ€™s furious expression, Stephanie couldnโ€™t determine if she had won; after all, A had gone upstairs to continue arguing. โ€œShe called Dan a bitch and even a stupid fake,โ€ Stephanie noted.

Sebastian paused for a moment, then chuckled, โ€œQuite an interesting choice of insults.โ€

โ€œYou have no idea. Dan, on the phone, was totally dumbfounded with anger?โ€

โ€œDid you see it?โ€

โ€œOh, I heard it. He was so angry that he couldnโ€™t even speak properly,โ€ Stephanie said, her eyes sparkling brightly. โ€œSo, Ludโ€™s the best at arguing, leaving Dan completely speechless on the phone?โ€

Sebastian smiled. โ€œThere are very few people who can bully her.โ€

โ€œNow youโ€™ve said it. Didnโ€™t you worry about her?โ€ Stephanie shot back. If he really wasnโ€™t concerned, he wouldnโ€™t have rushed to the hospital back then.

Sebastian sighed helplessly. โ€œI was worried before, but not anymore.โ€

Initially, because of Dan, Sebastian had been a little concerned that Sofia wouldnโ€™t handle it well. But now, after hearing Stephanie talk about how Sofia had totally told Dan off over the phone, he felt at ease.

Just then, Elliot walked in, followed by two women. Upon seeing Stephanie holding onto Sebastian, he instinctively turned and called out, โ€œMr. Giovanni.โ€

Stephanie propped herself up, looking over Sebastianโ€™s shoulder to see Elliot. Two women in business suits followed him, each holding several dresses.

Sebastian turned his head, glanced at Elliot, and then said to Stephanie, โ€œGo call Sofia down to try on the dresses with you.โ€

โ€œIs there a party?โ€ Stephanie asked.

Sebastian nodded. โ€œYeah, thereโ€™s an important birthday party. You and Sofia both need to go.โ€

โ€œBut I donโ€™t want to go.โ€ Stephanie had never been fond of parties, especially ones where people gathered to show off and flatter each other. She wasnโ€™t in the mood for all that.

Sebastian affectionately pinched her cheek. โ€œThis one is special. We wonโ€™t have to go to others after this, alright?โ€

Reluctantly, Stephanie replied, โ€œOkay.โ€ She slid off Sebastianโ€™s lap, turned, and went upstairs to call Sofia.

Elliot approached Sebastian respectfully and greeted him again.

โ€œKeep tabs on Dan and that Lamberto guy,โ€ Sebastian ordered coolly.

โ€œMrs. Lucano has met Lamberto today. I donโ€™t think thereโ€™s any chance of them having further contact,โ€ Elliot replied.

Lamberto had been very greedy for resources over the years, but he didnโ€™t dare act recklessly. This time, he had been secretly dealing with Dan, not expecting Sofia to catch him in the act.

Actually, even if Lottie hadnโ€™t met Lamberto today, he wouldnโ€™t have dared either. But this served as a warning and indirectly cut off Danโ€™s path in Fiorenza.

Sebastian nodded, a flash of deep understanding crossing his eyes. โ€œThen keep an eye on Dan.โ€

Elliot nodded. โ€œGot it.โ€

There was a brief silence in the room.

โ€œMr. Casalini likely plans to use Sofia to clean up the Casalini family,โ€ Elliot gently reminded. He thought for a moment before adding, โ€œYou know how she is when sheโ€™s angry โ€“ not really concerned about boundaries.โ€

If Richard wanted to face off against the Casalini family, those people would definitely involve Sofia. The relationship between the Casalini family and the Giovanni family had been weakening for years. It would only get worse if Sofia got involved.

Sebastian understood Elliotโ€™s point and chuckled. โ€œIf sheโ€™s reckless, then so be it. Isnโ€™t that precisely what Richard wants?โ€

Elliot fell silent, realizing it made sense.

โ€œIf she had any restraint, Richard wouldnโ€™t be so desperate to team up with her,โ€ Sebastian sneered.
