Chapter 576

Seeing Stephanie, Lottie gave the butler a look. โ€œGo on, and make sure the prenatal supplements are ready, okay?โ€

โ€œAll ready, maโ€™am.โ€ The butler nodded respectfully.

Lottie walked towards Stephanie, giving Sebastian a sideways glance, clearly displeased about him going to Stephanieโ€™s room last night. With just one look, she withdrew her gaze and pulled Stephanie over. โ€œCome here, Stefi.โ€

โ€œMorning, Lottic,โ€ Stephanie called softly, her voice sweet enough to melt Lottieโ€™s heart.

Lottie led her to the dining room. โ€œAre you hungry? I had the kitchen make the oatmeal and snacks you love.โ€

โ€œThanks, Lottie.โ€ The snacks from the Giovanni familyโ€™s cook were Stephanieโ€™s favorite. Whenever Lottie and Sebastian were busy outside, sheโ€™d nibble on some treats while waiting for them.

The servant saw Stephanie and quickly had the prepared meals brought out. The snacks had their familiar look, along with the creamy oatmeal.

When in Long Harbor, because of the taste differences, Stephanie didnโ€™t like the bland food there at all. But back home, everything seemed so tasty.

Lottie placed a forkful of side dish on the small plate in front of her. โ€œYou should try to eat a bit more now.โ€

โ€œShe has a weak stomach and canโ€™t eat too much,โ€ Sebastian said as he sat down next to Stephanie, gently reminding her. It was true. Even though Stephanie had a big appetite, her stomach wasnโ€™t very strong, and overeating made her uncomfortable.

Lottie gave Sebastian another glance upon hearing these words. โ€œI donโ€™t need you to remind me, I know.โ€

Sebastian insisted, โ€œDonโ€™t let her eat too much.โ€

Lottie huffed, โ€œShe hasnโ€™t been eating much these days; she should eat well when she can.โ€

Sebastian said, โ€œItโ€™s precisely because she hasnโ€™t been eating much recently that she shouldnโ€™t eat too much now.โ€

Lottie rolled her eyes. โ€œHey, are you still not finished? Whatโ€™s wrong with her eating a bit more?โ€

Stephanie interjected in a hurry, โ€œLottie, Iโ€™m really fine with anything.โ€ Seeing Lottie getting worked up, Stephanie quickly grabbed her.

Hearing Stephanieโ€™s words, Lottie gave Sebastian a look. โ€œItโ€™s just oatmeal; eating more wonโ€™t hurt.โ€

Lottie felt for Stephanie, knowing how tough pregnancy was for her at the moment and that she couldnโ€™t eat well in their last few days in Long Harbor. So, in her view, as long as Stephanie wanted to eat, she should be allowed to eat well. Yet Sebastian was still opposing her. โ€œStefi, eat up,โ€ Lottie said as she placed more food on Stephanieโ€™s plate. Stephanie took a sip of the oatmeal, and it tasted really good. โ€œMmm, this oatmeal tastes great,โ€ she said, savoring it.

As soon as he heard her say that, Sebastian realized she was going to eat nonstop today. Just as he thought, she finished two bowls of oatmeal, not to mention the snacks and side dishes.

By the time Stephanie started her second bowl, Sebastian was about to say something to stop her, but Lottie shot him a glare, silencing him instantly.

โ€œStefi really shouldnโ€™t eat too much,โ€ he finally blurted out.

Chapter 576

Lottie just replied, โ€œYou shot up!โ€

There was no way that Lottie would listen to Sebastian. It had been three years. Over these years, Lottie always worried that Stephanie wasnโ€™t eating well outside, which might affect her health. Now that Stephanie was finally back home, Sebastian had no say now.

On the other hand, Lorenzo sat at the dining table, not looking very happy. He glanced at the servant nearby. โ€œGo to call her down for dinner.โ€

The servant, who usually cooked in the kitchen, hesitated when Lorenzo asked her to get Ella for dinner. She couldnโ€™t help but remember what Cecil had told her when he brought her over.

Feeling a bit uneasy, she said, โ€œBut Cecil told me not to go upstairs.โ€

That was exactly why this morningโ€™s breakfast had to be reheated several times. Ella wouldnโ€™t come down after it was ready, and neither would Lorenzo.

Lorenzoโ€™s face hardened at her words. โ€œGo.โ€

His sudden cold tone frightened the servant. She quickly nodded. โ€œAlright.โ€ Even though she knew she should listen to whoever paid her, she didnโ€™t dare ignore Lorenzoโ€™s words. The servant hurried upstairs to call Ella.

At that moment, Ella was in her room, checking the time and considering calling Stephanie. Ever since she learned that the previous head of the Dark Portal was also named Andrea, she felt a constant sense of unease.

Ella was feeling agitated and heard a knock on the door. She snapped back to reality, suddenly feeling alert all over. The cabinets Cecil had brought were so heavy, she couldnโ€™t move them at all; the only thing between her and Lorenzo was the flimsy door lock.

โ€œWho is it?โ€ Ella nervously swallowed and asked.

The servantโ€™s voice came from outside the door. โ€œMiss, Mr. Moretti asked you to come down for breakfast.โ€

Ella thought, โ€˜Arenโ€™t servants not allowed upstairs? Well, Lorenzo makes all the rules here.โ€™ Then she said, โ€œIโ€™m not hungry.โ€

Since Lorenzo was calling her down, she definitely wasnโ€™t going. She and Stephanie had already agreed that if Lorenzo was around, she should stay away as much as possible to avoid any more unavoidable trouble.

Thinking about all the messes sheโ€™d gotten into around Lorenzo, Ella could hardly face herself. She couldnโ€™t believe how foolish she had been. In those moments of chaos, her body and her hands didnโ€™t even seem like her own, completely out of her control.

The servant hesitated, โ€œBut Mr. Moretti doesnโ€™t seem very happy.โ€

There was no way she was going downstairs. Lorenzo was intimidating enough when he wasnโ€™t angry, and if he was upset, heโ€™d be even scarier.

Ella sniffled, โ€œIโ€™m not going down. Iโ€™m really not hungry.โ€

This time the servant didnโ€™t insist and just left.

Ella thought she had passed this test and that Lorenzo would not bother coming up just to call her for dinner. With his status, there was no way heโ€™d do something like that.

However, less than five minutes later, a deep voice came from outside the door. โ€œCome out.โ€

Hearing his voice, Ella shivered again. This time, she didnโ€™t dare to resist. Slowly and cautiously, she opened the door, looking up nervously like a timid quail, meeting Lorenzoโ€™s icy gaze.

In an instant, Ella quickly lowered her head. โ€œ1-1โ€“Iโ€™m really not hungry.โ€
