Chapter 497

Allison sighed. โ€œA distant cousin of Yanis, no blood relation.โ€ Technically, she could be called a cousin, but it was a very distant one, with several generations in between.

โ€œDid she set up the car crash?โ€ Stephanie asked.

Allison closed her eyes, done with the Lewis familyโ€™s mess. โ€œLetโ€™s not talk about them. Stefi, I want to get out of Long Harbor. You can take me away, right?โ€

As Allison spoke about leaving Long Harbor, Stephanie felt a new kind of determination. Thinking about everything Allison had been through with the Lewises, she nodded. โ€œAlright, Iโ€™ll get you out of here.โ€

Allisonโ€™s despair was clear. She was the type to face problems head-on, so running away wasnโ€™t something she did lightly. Stephanie knew unconditional support was what Allison needed most right now. When someone finds themselves in a tough spot and feels completely lost, a person who can take them away without asking questions is truly helpful. Stephanie decided to take Allison away without asking any questions.

โ€œReally?โ€ The sadness in Allisonโ€™s eyes seemed to lift, like sheโ€™d glimpsed a ray of hope.

Stephanie nodded. โ€œYeah.โ€

โ€œWhat about Yanis?โ€ It was clear Yanis wouldnโ€™t let her go without a fight, and that was Allisonโ€™s biggest concern.

Stephanie didnโ€™t know what had happened between them, but seeing the spark in Allisonโ€™s eyes, she nodded. โ€œDonโ€™t worry. Iโ€™ve got a plan.โ€

With that, she pulled out her phone and called Sebastian. โ€œSebastian, Iโ€™m taking Allison to Fiorenza. Thereโ€™s something going on with Yanis,โ€ she explained curtly.

Allison clutched the blanket nervously.

On the other end, Sebastian paused for a beat before he said, โ€œIโ€™ll handle it.โ€

Allisonโ€™s shoulders relaxed as she heard the simple words.

โ€œAlright, have Macro meet us at the hospital,โ€ Stephanie said.

Macro was their doctor, and with Allison injured, they needed to get her checked out before leaving tonight.

โ€œSure thing,โ€ Sebastian replied, his voice as gentle as ever.

When the call ended, Stephanie turned to Allison. โ€œAll set.โ€

Allisonโ€™s lips curved into a wry smile. โ€œStefi, I really envy you.โ€

Sebastian was a big shot in Fiorenza, yet Stephanie could always be herself around him. No matter what she said, he was always on her side.

Stephanie fell quiet. She knew exactly what Allison was getting at. Sheโ€™d always thought Allison and Yanis had a similar connection, but seeing Allison so frustrated now, she was certain there were things Allison wouldnโ€™t budge on with Yanis.

In Fiorenza, Ella sat in her room, cursing her luck after eating overly salty pasta. She wanted a drink downstairs but worried Lorenzo and his crew were still around. If they saw her and got the wrong idea, Lorenzo could lose his temperโ€”and sheโ€™d be the one to suffer.

When she got a call from Stephanie saying Allison was coming to Fiorenza too, Ella was surprised. โ€œIs she coming for a vacation? Is Yanis coming with her?โ€

Ella clearly felt the same way. Wherever Allison was, Yanis had to be there. Or rather, wherever Yanis was, Allison was always with him. Yanis was actually the one calling the shots.

โ€œNo,โ€ Stephanie said.

โ€œHuh? Will Yanis even let her come alone?โ€ If Allison showed up without Yanis, heโ€™d probably flip. Over the years, Yanis never went anywhere without her.

Before Stephanie could reply, there was a knock on Ellaโ€™s door. Startled, Ella clutched the phone and called out, โ€œWho is it?โ€

โ€œTime to change my bandage.โ€ Lorenzoโ€™s voice came through, cold and stern.

Ellaโ€™s heart skipped a beat. โ€˜Isnโ€™t someone else supposed to handle this? Why come to me?โ€™ she wondered.
