Chapter 459

โ€œThe main thing is,โ€ Stephanie explained, โ€œeven if I send someone, Lorenzo has to agree.โ€

โ€œWhat about if Sebastian sends someone?โ€ Ella asked.

โ€œLorenzo has to agree, too,โ€ Stephanie said.

Ella was stunned. โ€˜So Sebastian isnโ€™t all-powerful in Fiorenza? There are actually times when he needs someone elseโ€™s permission?โ€™ Ellaโ€™s face fell.

โ€œThe main thing is,โ€ Stephanie continued, โ€œLorenzo is an expert in traps and mechanisms. From the moment you enter the villa, there are traps everywhere. If itโ€™s not someone he trusts, and you enter without his permission, you might not make it more than five steps before collapsing.โ€

In short, anyone who went to Lorenzoโ€™s territory without his consent was in danger. There was even a risk to their life.

Ella was taken aback again. โ€˜Is he really that dangerous?โ€™

She gasped. โ€œFive steps and collapse?โ€

โ€œStanding and walking in, only to be turned to ashes and buriedโ€”thatโ€™s just too cruel for innocent people,โ€ Stephanie said.

โ€œTurned to ashes and buriedโ€ฆ It is really that dangerous,โ€ thought Ella. Not to mention whether Lorenzo would agree to let those people in. Even if he did, knowing they were entering his territory, they might not want to come at all. One wrong move, and it could cost them their life.

Ella thought it was indeed scary. Hearing Stephanieโ€™s words, she instinctively looked around the villa.

โ€œAre there traps everywhere in his villa?โ€ Ella asked.

โ€œMost likely, yes,โ€ Stephanie replied.

Ella fell silent. This meant that living here, she was constantly at risk of losing her life.

โ€œWhich is why you shouldnโ€™t touch anything over there without reason,โ€ Stephanie warned. โ€œBe careful not to trigger any traps. Itโ€™s no joke; theyโ€™re deadly.โ€

Ella shuddered. Fortunately, she didnโ€™t like to touch things in other peopleโ€™s homes. Otherwise, it could have been fatal.

โ€œSo I need to ask for his opinion before you send anyone?โ€ Ella asked.

โ€œYes,โ€ Stephanie said.

Ellaโ€™s face fell. Based on her observations over the past two days, Lorenzo was really picky when it came to hiring help. The cook was fired after just one day. He was just hard to please.

โ€œWhat am I supposed to do then?โ€ Ella said.

โ€œGo talk to him,โ€ Stephanie suggested.

Ella fell silent. โ€˜Heโ€™ll definitely say no, wonโ€™t he?โ€™

There was no one else here, which showed just how much Lorenzo kept to himself. The fact that he had taken her in under these circumstances was really a great favor.

Stephanie said, โ€œIf he says no, I definitely canโ€™t just send someone over.โ€

Ella was taken aback. โ€˜So I have to go through the trouble of getting his approval first?โ€™

Before Ella could say anything else, Stephanie spoke up, โ€œOh dear, Iโ€™ve got to go. Iโ€™ll talk to you later.โ€ Ella faintly heard a manโ€™s voice on Stephanieโ€™s end, and then the call was disconnected. Listening to the beeping sounds on the phone, Ella felt a bit numb. She didnโ€™t want to take care of Lorenzo. Maybe she should try talking to him again and see if Stephanie could send someone over. She really couldnโ€™t handle this on her own.

Although Ella wasnโ€™t so conservative as to believe in strict gender separation, she and Lorenzo werenโ€™t really that familiar with each other, fundamentally speaking. Ella dragged her feet as she slowly made her way upstairs, taking tiny steps to reach the door of Lorenzoโ€™s room and knocking. From the speed at which she moved, it was clear just how reluctant she was.

When there was no response from inside, Ella knocked again. But there was still no answer. โ€˜Has he already fainted from the fever so quickly?โ€™ At this thought, Ella grew anxious and, without thinking twice, pushed the door open.

As soon as she opened the door, she saw Lorenzo emerging from the bathroom. He was wearing only a white towel wrapped around his waist. His muscular chest was still glistening with droplets of water.

Ella just had time to swallow hard before her mind went completely blank, and her blood vessels began to swell uncontrollably.

When Lorenzo saw her, his gaze fell on the trace of blood beneath her nose.
