Chapter 441

Stephanie had completely lost her patience, rolling her eyes at Chris and shutting the car door. She told the driver, โ€œDrive. Thereโ€™s no point in wasting breath or time talking to someone so disconnected. Their minds werenโ€™t even on the same wavelength.โ€

The driver nodded. โ€œOkay.โ€ Just as the car started, the driver suddenly said, โ€œMiss, sir is back.โ€

Stephanie looked up and glanced out the windshield. Just as she recognized Sebastianโ€™s car, there was a loud bang as Chrisโ€™s car was hit and shoved aside. That was Sebastianโ€™s styleโ€”always getting things done efficiently. Stephanie got out of the car without giving Chris another look and headed straight to Sebastianโ€™s car.

Sebastian stepped out of the car as well, exuding a fierce presence. He gave Chris a dangerous look. โ€œItโ€™s unusual to see you here, butโ€ฆโ€ Sebastian glanced at the car that had been hit. โ€œI donโ€™t like my territory being invaded. Next time, pay attention to the road and avoid making this mistake again.โ€ Sebastian emphasized the last four words heavily.

Chris was shaking with anger. He glanced at Stephanie, who was now standing calmly next to Sebastian. Right in front of him, they were holding hands without any hint of shame. Chrisโ€™s eyes were locked on their joined hands, a sharp, choking pain gripping his heart.

Stephanie said, โ€œI have a lunch date with Allison. Letโ€™s go.โ€ She didnโ€™t want to waste time on Chris and was ready to leave.

Sebastian lovingly pinched Stephanieโ€™s nose before guiding her into the car. The car drove off, leaving Chris standing there as the cold wind cut into him. It was very cold, but the ache in his heart was even colder.

Thoughts flitted through his mind about when Stephanie had said โ€œhateโ€ earlier. Her tone was full of sarcasm when she mentioned hating him, as if she was mocking him for being naive. She didnโ€™t hate himโ€”she felt nothing at all. Their relationship lasted for two years, and it meant nothing to her.

In the car, Stephanie was sitting on Sebastianโ€™s lap, fidgeting a bit. โ€œI want to sit by myself.โ€ Whenever they were alone, he loved to hold her. Looking back now, it seemed like Sebastian had been holding her since she was a child. His broad palm grasped her slightly chubby waist.

โ€œAre you mad?โ€ asked Stephanie.

Sebastian didnโ€™t answer her.

โ€œIt wasnโ€™t me who sought him out; he came to me,โ€ Stephanie said, sounding pitiful.

Sebastian asked, โ€œHavenโ€™t you learned how to handle them yet?โ€ For irrelevant people, Sebastian always advised her not to pay them much mind and to avoid wasting time. If something could be solved with force, then use force.

Stephanieโ€™s eyebrow twitched. โ€œI was just about to push through when you arrived. Wait, didnโ€™t you say you were coming back this afternoon?โ€
