Chapter 436

No matter what Lorenzo said, Ella refused to go. Lorenzo squinted slightly as he looked at her. โ€œItโ€™s not up to you.โ€ Ellaโ€™s already nervous heart became even more unsettled upon hearing Lorenzoโ€™s words. Now she couldnโ€™t eat or drink anything.

Lorenzo checked the time on his watch and then looked at the clothes Ella was wearing. โ€œIโ€™ll give you ten minutes to change and put on some makeup.โ€

Ella said, โ€œIโ€™m really not going.โ€ She bit her thin lips, her eyes shimmering with tears as she gazed at him. At this moment, she exuded a distinct aura of determined resistance.

Lorenzoโ€™s demeanor turned even colder because of this. He said, โ€œYou have eight minutes left. You know Iโ€™m not negotiating with you.โ€ His voice was icy and completely devoid of warmth.

Faced with such a domineering and impatient man, Ellaโ€™s eyes filled with even more tears. Even her gaze at Lorenzo carried a trace of resentment.

Lorenzo felt a headache coming on. โ€œStill not going?โ€ He bet only Sebastian had the patience to coax Stephanie, but that was because Sebastian had been doing it since she was young and is used to it. If it were up to him, Lorenzo definitely wouldnโ€™t have that kind of patience. Especially seeing Ella about to cry now, he felt like throwing her out.

Stephanie was having breakfast. The kitchen had made her favorite chicken oatmeal. Smelling it, Stephanie felt something wasnโ€™t quite right and looked at Henry. โ€œIs there any millet oatmeal?โ€ Millet oatmeal, which Sebastian liked. He preferred milder flavors.

Henry replied, โ€œSir had some earlier, so there should be some left.โ€

โ€œGive me the millet oatmeal.โ€ With that, Stephanie pushed the chicken oatmeal aside, clearly not intending to eat it.

Henry quickly instructed the servant to bring Stephanie some millet oatmeal. She didnโ€™t really like it before, but now that she tasted it, it seemed surprisingly refreshing.

She had just taken a few sips when Ellaโ€™s call came in. โ€œElla.โ€

Ella cried, โ€œStefi, help me.โ€

Stephanie thought, โ€˜Has being around Lorenzo made her so timid? Where did her former confidence go? Get it back. Sheโ€™s as nervous as a kitten now.โ€™

Ella said, โ€œLorenzo is taking me somewhere, and he said it might be dangerous. Stefi, you have to save me; I really donโ€™t want to go through that again.โ€ Just thinking about what happened those two times made Ella feel like she was pushing herself too hard.

โ€œWhere are you going?โ€ It seemed like every place Lorenzo wanted to visit was pretty dangerous, which was putting Ella in a difficult position.

โ€œI donโ€™t know. He said heโ€™d make sure Iโ€™m safe, but if heโ€™s saying that, then there must be danger, right?โ€

Stephanie kept silent.

Ella continued, โ€œStefi, when are you coming back to Fiorenza? Iโ€™m really going to lose it at this rate. Even if Lorenzo doesnโ€™t scare me to death, Iโ€™ll definitely go crazy.โ€

Stephanie replied, โ€œI donโ€™t have a set plan, but donโ€™t worry too much.โ€

โ€œIโ€™m not worried, Iโ€™m scared.โ€

Stephanie said nothing.

โ€œI really donโ€™t want to go anywhere with him,โ€ Ella said pitifully to Stephanie on the phone.

Stephanie suggested, โ€œHow about I send someone to pick you up?โ€

โ€œTo take me to the Giovanni residence?โ€

โ€œAside from the Giovanni residence, nowhere else seems safe for you right now, does it? Considering what happened at Fiorenzaโ€™s international airport, youโ€™re not exactly safe after leaving the country.โ€
