Chapter 430
Stephanie looked at Sebastian with eager eyes. He gently pinched her cheek. โI think you should stay away from Macro. You are as insane as him.โ He checked her temperature again, compared it with his own, and confirmed she wasnโt running a fever. She was just talking nonsense.
โWhat about Ella?โ
Sebastian thought for a moment and finally said, โDonโt worry, Lorenzo wonโt do anything to her.โ
โBut Ella is really scared of him.โ The image of Ella crying on the phone flashed through Stephanieโs mind, making her a bit worried. Lorenzo was as cold as ice. Ella seemed brave before, but that was when everything was calm and safe. The things she had been through recently had really frightened her. Stephanie also knew well that, with Lorenzoโs temperament, he definitely wouldnโt comfort Ella.
โItโs rare for Lorenzo to get involved in other peopleโs business.โ
โHuh? What do you mean?โ She looked at Sebastian, confused and not understanding.
Sebastian was frustrated. โThis should probably now be considered a personal matter between Lorenzo and Ella.โ
Stephanie couldnโt figure out his meaning. Seeing her still looking puzzled, Sebastian sighed, โWeโre leaving the day after tomorrow.โ
โReally?โ As soon as Stephanie heard they were leaving, she got interested. She didnโt want to stay in Long Harbor any longer. Going back would be great because it meant no more of these annoying problems. Even though she was pretty much done with the Hart family, these peopleโeven Catlinโkept coming to her, clearly hoping to benefit from her connections. All these years, no matter how much they looked down on her and called her a country bumpkin, she never mentioned anything about Fiorenza to them. That was because she saw their true colors. People like that, if they were smiling, it was mostly because they wanted to take advantage. She didnโt care about fake friendliness.
Sebastian replied, โYeah, things are pretty much handled.โ He nodded, his tone fond.
Stephanie hugged his neck and gave Sebastian a kiss on the cheek. โItโs so good; I donโt want to stay here any longer.โ
Just as she was about to snuggle back under the covers, he grabbed her waist. โTrying to run off after setting the fire?โ
Stephanie wriggled in his arms. โWhat do you mean by setting a fire? I didnโt start any fire.โ It was just one kiss; he was really easy to tease.
Sebastian held her and rolled over, pinning her beneath the blanket. Stephanie panicked instantly. โNo, I canโt.โ
โShut up.โ
โNo, seriously, I canโt.โ She looked pitifully at Sebastian, reaching out to push him away. However, he grabbed her slender wrists and pinned them above her head, making it impossible for her to move.
โSebastianโฆโ Stephanie whimpered.
Hearing her call his name made his heart flutter, and his eyes softened. โBe a good girl, okay?โ
โI donโt want to be good.โ
Over time, Stephanie had realized that whenever Sebastian told her to be good, he was probably up to something sneaky. He was careful and held back, but it was still tough for her to handle every time.
โI know not to, donโt worry.โ
โI donโt want any of those either.โ Basically, she didnโt want anything right now.
Seeing her teary-eyed face, Sebastian laughed, his mischievous side coming out.
The nights in Long Harbor ranged from peaceful to alive with bright lights and bustling crowds. Inside the Indulgence suite, Chris was downing drink after drink while Zachary and Bruce watched silently. The two had been abroad and had arrived in Long Harbor at 7 PM, only to be called over by Chris about the recent events in the Ashford family. After they got there, Chris didnโt say anything; he just kept drinking.
