As he boarded the private jet back to Paginara, Theodore was worriedly lying in bed. His leg was saved. Richard was on the phone, his voice icy as he said, “Yeah, follow the plan?” Theodore’s eyelid twitched violently at this. If there was one thing Richard wouldn't let go of, it would be Stephanie.

Seeing Richard hang up, Theodore asked, “Do you still have plans for her?” Richard gave him a sidelong glance. Theodore swallowed hard. “Sebastian and she are already together; his long-held wish has come true.”

“Do you remember why Stefi developed feelings for him?” Theodore’s heart tightened. Of course, he knew why Stephanie was drawn to Sebastian. But he knew the reason was still important now. “Anyway, just don’t provoke Sebastian right now. His feelings for…”

Theodore was interrupted by Richard, “Theodore.” Theodore paused. Richard took a sip of the red wine in front of him, saying nothing more.

Theodore thought for a moment and continued, “You and Sebastian really don’t need to be in such a mess. You should clear up those misunderstandings. Or do you plan to stay in Paginara forever?”

Richard raised an eyebrow, a cold smile playing on his lips. “You’re right; it’s time to clear up those misunderstandings. I should head back to Fiorenza too.”

Theodore felt there was something off about Richard’s tone. Going back was one thing, but it seemed Richard’s reason wasn’t simple. It wasn’t just because Richard was an illegitimate child. Thinking about Richard’s father, Theodore felt even sorrier for him.

Richard’s long fingers tapped rhythmically on the table as he mouthed the word “misunderstanding.” Both sarcasm and amusement were clear.

Stephanie had a late-night snack. After she and Sebastian returned, Marco and Elliot went to the study, and Ella called her. Ella was sobbing so hard on the phone that she could barely breathe. Honestly, Ella had never cried like this before. Stephanie soothed her over the phone like she was calming a baby. “Tell me, what has upset you? Who’s been bothering you? I’ll take care of them for you.”

Stephanie thought, ‘Who could possibly be chasing Ella to the point of tears? If that’s how it is… I really need to call contacts in Fiorenza.’ Stephanie also had her own people, given to her by Sebastian. Since being forced out of Fiorenza by Richard’s threats, she hadn’t activated them because she had to stay away from both Richard and Sebastian.

With Ella sobbing so much, Stephanie wanted to help figure out what happened, but Ella was crying too hard to explain. “Please, don’t cry, okay? I’ll have someone look into things for you.”

Stephanie frowned, thinking, ‘Being with Lorenzo, and with things unresolved, now she’s crying like this. What’s happening?’

Did Lorenzo bully her? No, that can’t be. Lorenzo is usually quite aloof; he wouldn’t go out of his way to bother Ella. Then she heard Ella cry, “It was Lorenzo. He took off my clothes.”

Stephanie was almost choked. “Wasn’t it the maid?” Then she remembered that Lorenzo had always been a loner, and there were no maids in his villa. The only person there was the chef, and he was a man. There were no females around Lorenzo. Back when Ella said she didn’t know who took off her clothes, Stephanie should have realized that the only person was Lorenzo, no one else.

Ella didn’t get a response from Stephanie for a long time and cried even more pitifully, “Will you help me deal with him?”
