Chapter 380

Macro sauntered over to the liquor cabinet, poured himself a glass of red wine, and took a sip. Just then, Sebastian emerged from the lounge. Macro immediately choked on his drink.

Sebastian shot him an annoyed glance, his brow furrowed. โ€œWhat? Whatโ€™s gotten into you?โ€

Macro patted his chest, still coughing. โ€œMan, thatโ€™s way too quick,โ€ he managed to say.

Sebastian just stood there, at a loss for words.

Elliot, who was working on his laptop nearby, heard the commotion. He quickly gathered his things and slipped into another lounge. Heโ€™d learned the hard way that it was best to keep a safe distance from Macro. This way, he could stay out of trouble.

Macro noticed Elliotโ€™s hasty retreat and realized heโ€™d spoken out of turn. โ€œI didnโ€™t mean it like that,โ€ he tried to explain. When heโ€™d walked by the lounge earlier, heโ€™d heard their conversation and quickly ran away. But he hadnโ€™t expected Sebastian to come out before he could even finish his drink.

Sebastian stepped closer, his voice low. โ€œDo you have any more of that medicine?โ€

Macro looked puzzled.

Sebastian sighed. โ€œIt seems to hurt badly there. Heโ€™d been checking on her earlier, and sheโ€™d been crying non-stop. He hadnโ€™t meant to hurt her so much.โ€

Macroโ€™s eyes widened in realizationโ€”now he knew what they were doing in the lounge. But this was shocking as well.

Before he could say anything else, Sebastian gave him a warning look. Macro quickly shut his mouth and went to the medicine cabinet, grabbing a couple more bottles. He handed them to Sebastian. โ€œUse these with the ones I gave you before.โ€

Sebastian took the medicine and turned to leave, but Macro called out again, โ€œWait. I know youโ€™re in a hurry, butโ€”โ€

He didnโ€™t get to finish. Sebastian turned back and gave him a cold stare. Macro quickly clamped his mouth shut. โ€œWhat I meant was, girls are fragile. You should at least wait until sheโ€™s fully recovered.โ€

Sebastian gave him one last cold look and walked away without another word.

Once Macro was alone, he picked up his wine glass and drained it in one go. He clicked his tongue and muttered to himself, โ€œAnd Richard thinks he can compete?โ€

Sebastian had already doted on Stephanie so much. There was no way Richard could take her away.

Just thinking about how close Richard had come to taking Stephanie made Sebastian look like he could tear a building apart. If it hadnโ€™t been for Macro stepping in and threatening Richard, things could have ended very badly.

In the lounge, Sebastian gently pulled Stephanie out from under the covers. She struggled, crying out, โ€œNo, I donโ€™t want to.โ€

โ€œThis is for your health. Whatโ€™s there to fuss about?โ€ Sebastian coaxed, trying to keep his voice gentle.

But Stephanie was still resistant. It was embarrassing enough to have an injury in that area. Now Sebastian wanted to help her apply the medicine, and she felt like she had no privacy left. โ€œI can do it myself,โ€ she insisted.

โ€œYouโ€”โ€ Sebastian started, but she cut him off.

โ€œNo, I donโ€™t want to!โ€ Stephanie cried out in a panic, her voice so loud that Macro, who was savoring a glass of red wine outside, almost dropped his glass in shock.

After another few hours of flying, Stephanie was utterly exhausted. She fell into a deep sleep on the plane, and for once, Sebastian didnโ€™t wake her.

Instead, he quietly reapplied the medicine to her wounds while she slept. She could feel his gentle touch, but she was too tired to even open her eyes, let alone protest.

โ€œSir, itโ€™s time to wake Ms. Giovanni,โ€ Elliot said. The plane had landed an hour ago, and Stephanie still hadnโ€™t emerged from the lounge. Their meeting was fast approaching.
