Leonard gave a small nod.

Under Aurora’s gaze, he didn’t hold anything back this time.

“While I didn’t find anything blatantly suspicious, I did notice something odd in his chat history with Tessa.”

At that, Lucas couldn’t help but glance at Leonard again, his interest clearly piqued.

Megan, on the other hand, couldn’t hold it in anymore.

“Oh, come on, just spit it out already. Stop being so cryptic. We’re way past that stage—what’s the point of dragging it out now?”

She was so anxious she started pacing around, even though she had no idea what was important and what wasn’t.

Watching her in such a flustered state, Leonard didn’t know how he should react.

How had he never noticed how adorable Megan could be?

She was loud and expressive, sure, but there was a sensitivity in her that drew him in.

That alone was enough to keep his attention.

Unable to help himself, Leonard reached out and gently ruffled her soft hair with a fond look.

“Alright, alright. I’ll show you. Don’t get worked up.”

Megan froze on the spot.

She looked up in confusion, meeting Leonard’s equally awkward expression.

As he stared back at her stunned face, Leonard’s brain stalled.

What was he thinking, doing something like that?

He should’ve had more self-control.

But Megan only looked embarrassed for a second before brushing it off, clearing her throat and glancing away. “Okay, enough stalling. Let’s get back to the point.”

That jolted Leonard out of his daze, and he quickly nodded.

Aurora and Lucas exchanged a glance.

Just one look between them was enough—they both knew exactly what the other was thinking.

Aurora, in particular, was starting to feel genuinely curious.

Was there something going on between Megan and Leonard?

How had she not picked up on it before?

Now that she thought about it, if those two really ended up together, wouldn’t that make her the matchmaker?

The thought alone made a knowing, playful smile appear on her face.

Lucas, watching Aurora’s intrigued and expectant expression, felt a wave of relief wash over him.

The corners of his lips lifted into a faint smile.

Seeing how completely unbothered she was made his mood lift with hers.

It meant she didn’t care about Leonard in the slightest.

No matter who Leonard ended up marrying, Aurora’s attitude toward it was the same: indifferent.

That alone was enough to put Lucas entirely at ease.

Aurora might have been curious, but she knew full well how to keep boundaries between herself and Leonard.

Even if Megan hadn’t said anything, Aurora had seen enough.

And if she ever did want to nudge them closer, she’d make sure to check with Megan first.

She would never force her own opinions onto Megan.

She had just been about to say something, but Megan didn’t even give her the chance.

Megan was as natural as before, but at least she was still acting a little playful with him.

Megan was still clinging to Leonard—Aurora couldn’t help but shake her head at the sight.

Those two really were starting to get a little clingy…

“I noticed that the way they talked was like some kind of code. But before they left the country, there’s no doubt they met up at least once.”
