He was fully aware of everything said on the call. So, when it came time to report to his superiors, he’d have an excuse ready. All he hoped now was that this woman would behave herself. As for the higher-ups, they were still urging him to find solid leads as soon as possible. Otherwise, there was little point in keeping Tessa here.
What the officer didn’t know was that while he was watching Tessa, Tessa was also thinking about how to deal with him. Staying in the hospital wasn’t a solution. Julian had lost his mind, and the police clearly didn’t know what to make of it either–she was stuck in a completely passive position.
