Leonard sat nearby, watching the lively and spirited Megan, a strange ripple stirring in his heart. This vibrant, animated version of Megan seemed even more captivating than Aurora, who had only just woken up not long ago. Realizing that made Leonard freeze in place. Was he really such a fickle man? He started doubting himself. That kind of feeling felt foreign to him. It even pushed him into a spiral of self-doubt. He sat on the couch, his hands slowly clenching into fists on his lap. In a quiet corner where no one noticed, Leonard silently gritted his teeth, torn between conflicting emotions.
Lucas noticed something off about Leonard but only gave him a brief glance. This guy was weird all the time–he was already used to it. Otherwise, how could a normal man have feelings for a woman who already had a family? Even saying it out loud sounded unbelievable. He found it strange too. Now watching Leonard looking all conflicted, Lucas felt even more disdain. Seriously, a grown man, always agonizing over something. These were all simple matters, yet with him, everything somehow turned complicated. Thinking about it, Lucas couldn’t help feeling speechless. Meanwhile, Aurora and Megan had already reached a decision. They agreed to call Grace. Hearing that, Lucas also remembered that back when Aurora hadn’t woken up yet, he had actually been on a call with Grace. Now that the call had suddenly been cut off, and with both Tessa and Julian sent to prison, Grace was probably panicking at home. That thought made Grace uncertain. Could it really be that Aurora had woken up? After all this time, was overseas medical treatment really that much better than here?
