Chapter 675 +15 BONUS
At Rachelโs mention of her salary, the saleslady immediately became wary. She looked naively at Rachel.
โMiss, are you trying to take my job? You wonโt be able to do this job. You have to deal with nasty customers all day.โ
Rachel had the urge to laugh at the fearful look on the young ladyโs face. She hurriedly explained, โDonโt worry, Iโm not here to steal your job. I just think youโre very friendly and speak very well. Do you want to consider a change of jobs?โ
Rachel thought of hiring this young lady if she majored in a relevant field. The company was currently in need of a salesperson who could liaise with customers, anyway.
The saleslady was surprised by Rachelโs question. โChange of jobs? But what job can I switch to? I used to study finance and design. I only picked up sales after I started working.โ
It was Rachelโs turn to feel surprised. โYou didnโt study sales?โ
Rachel thought the saleslady majored in that. It turned out to be something she picked up later on. That meant she must have some talent for it.
โCan I have your contact so I can share more with you? Iโm from a legitimate company. You can even search for the name online. If you work for us, I guarantee you that the pay and benefits will be better than here,โ Rachel said.
The salesladyโs eyes lit up at Rachelโs promise, but she didnโt dare to speak too loudly. If her colleagues overheard, they might blab to their manager.
She nodded, then cleared her throat and said, โLet me give you my number. I can inform you once we have new collections coming in.โ
โSure.โ
The two of them exchanged numbers. Rachel picked a bottle of perfume to give the saleslady more business.
Since Tyler had asked her to get a bottle of perfume for herself, there was no need for her to be pretentious. Whatโs more, she was going to help him out later. She would take this perfume as compensation for the hard work she was about to put in.
While the saleslady was busy packing up the two bottles of perfume, Rachel stood at the counter and turned around to look at Tyler.
โMr. Hunt, come here and make payment.โ
Tyler put down his magazine and made his way to the counter. He was very tall, and his intimidating aura overwhelmed Rachel as he stood next to her.
He pulled his card out and swiped it on the terminal before putting it away.
The saleslady handed Rachel two bags of different colors. โMiss, this one is yours. And thisโฆ this one is the other womanโs.โ
The salesladyโs gaze darted to Tyler when she mentioned the other woman.
Tyler remained expressionless; he didnโt even turn to look at her. He also chose to ignore the looks all the salespeople were giving him, as well as their conversations he had overheard.
Rachel admired his composure throughout this entire incident.
Rachel took the bags and said to the saleslady, โI might need to buy another bottle for my friend. Iโll text you later.โ
โSure. Let me see you two out.โ
The saleslady walked Rachel and Tyler to the door, where Rachel subtly winked at her. She was quick on her feet, albeit a little gossipyโbut that wasnโt a problem for Rachel. It was a habit that could be curbed.
If Rachel focused on the salesladyโs strengths instead, she was confident that the latter would end up outstanding at sales. She had to consider the position she could assign this saleslady to in the company.
After leaving the mall, she gave Tyler the perfume she had selected for his client. โThis is for your client. I selected a Lily-of-the-Valley perfume for her. Do you want to try it out?โ
Tyler took it, then put it aside on the back seat.
โI donโt know a thing about womenโs stuff. Iโm sure you made an excellent choice. Do you have anything going on recently?โ
