Chapter 189: Temptation in the Air
Summer immediately pulled her hand from Fraserโs and headed straight inside. She kicked off her heels and walked into the bedroom. Fraser trailed behind, unhurried. His eyes lingered on the hem of her dress as it swayed with each step. A faint smirk played on his lips.
Summer sat on the bed, pressing her hands to her face, hoping the heat would pass. Her cheeks had been burning all day, and now even her breath felt unsteady. Suddenly, her phone buzzed with a WhatsApp video call. It was Yvette. Summer picked up.
โBabe!โ Yvette beamed from the screen. โIโm back tomorrowโcome over for a sleepover party!โ
Summer remembered that Sienna hadnโt been in the best mood lately and thought it might be good to bring her along for a fun night.
โSure, Iโll bring Sienna too,โ she replied.
โWait a secโฆ This doesnโt look like your place. Summer, where are you?โ
Just then, the bedroom door swung open. Fraser strolled in, casual and unhurried. Yvetteโs voice rang out loud and clear in the room. Summer hadnโt expected her to notice the background and froze for a second, unsure how to respond. She lowered her voice and muttered, โIโmโฆ at a friendโs place.โ
Without a word, Fraser glanced over and walked past, his expression unreadable. Standing in front of the full-length mirror, his long fingers paused briefly before he resumed loosening his tie.
But Yvette wasnโt letting it go. โNice try. Who else do you have besides me? And thatโs definitely not my place. Waitโdonโt tell me youโve officially moved in with Mr. Graham?โ
Fraser raised an eyebrow. Not bad, he thought. Her friendโs not completely clueless. He slowly unbuttoned his shirt and slipped it off, tossing it casually into the laundry basket. His chest was lean and defined, every muscle smooth and sharp, tapering into a tight, sculpted core.
Summerโs eyes lingered just a second too long. She swallowed hard and quickly looked away, her voice shaky. โItโs not exactly living together.โ
Yvette waved her hand dismissively on the screen. โOkay, okay, Iโm not your momโIโm not going to give you a hard time. But honestly, Mr. Graham couldโve at least shown a little courtesy. Weโre your close friends, and he didnโt even take us out to dinner so we could get to know him?โ
Fraserโs eyes narrowed slightly as he glanced at Summerโs awkward expression.
So being in a relationship means youโre expected to treat her friends well and make a good impression. If you donโt, it reflects badly on her. Alright. Iโll have Mike handle it.
Yvette wasnโt done. โOkay, real talk. Iโve never lived with a guy beforeโwhatโs it like? I bet the sex is amazing, right? Your face is so red. Wait, am I interrupting something?โ

sexy to keep his eyes on you-
โIโve got stuff to do. Got to go,โ Summer blurted and hung up before she could say another word.
He hadnโt even reached the bathroom yet. Tall and lean, shirtless, he walked over with quiet, effortless confidence.
Bracing both hands on the edge of the bed, he leaned in, surrounding Summer in his arms. Slowly, he leaned down, his handsome face hovering just inches from hers. One hand tilted her chin up as he whispered in her ear, warm breath brushing her skin. โI think your friend had a pretty solid idea.โ
Summer let out an awkward laugh. โSheโs always saying ridiculous stuff.โ
Fraserโs voice turned husky. โSomething sexy, huh? Lingerie? Should I be expecting a nurse outfitโฆ a light attendant? Or something a little moreโฆ daring?โ
โFraser!โ Her voice was soft, almost pleading, and the way she said his name sent a shiver through them both.
โI can hear you,โ he murmured. โNo need to shout.โ
Fraserโs eyes glintedโdark, intense, undeniably seductive. There was something restrained in the way he looked at herโcontrolled, almost dangerous. Her chest tightened.
He pushed a little further. โHow about we start with a shower? Could be fun.โ
Summer felt his breath mixing with hers, the air around them growing thick with heat. Her breath caught. If I stay here any longer, Iโm going to give in againโฆ
She pressed a finger to his chest. โNope. You go ahead. Iโve got work to finish.โ
Before he could stop her, she ducked under his arm and slipped away.
Fraser watched her make her escape, that flustered, slightly panicked expression still fresh in his mind. A faint, amused smile played at his lips. Without saying a word, he turned and headed toward the bathroom, pulling off his belt as he walked and letting it drop to the floor.
Summer stepped out of the bedroom, went to the fridge, and grabbed a bottle of cold water. She took a long sip. The icy chill spread through her chest, finally slowing her heartbeat. She pulled out her phone and called Merry.
