Chapter 188: Just You and Me

Warmth surged through her, her pulse quickening with every second. โ€œI didnโ€™t mean right now,โ€ she whispered.

Fraserโ€™s eyes darkened, the flicker of desire unmistakable. His tone was serious. โ€œToo late. Itโ€™s already happening.โ€

Summer looked down instinctivelyโ€”her eyes dropped to his suit pants. She could see it. The tension beneath the fabric was impossible to miss. Her voice trembled. โ€œCanโ€™t you hold off a little?โ€

Fraserโ€™s throat moved as he swallowed. His voice dropped, deep and deliberate. โ€œHelp me.โ€

She instinctively tried to squeeze her legs togetherโ€”only to realize she was pressed against his. She could hear the deep, teasing laughter rumble through his chest, sending a jolt straight through her.

Summer swallowed hard, hanging on to her last shred of control. โ€œCanโ€™t weโ€ฆ wait till weโ€™re home?โ€

Fraser sighed as if she were asking the impossible. โ€œCanโ€™t. What needs to happen has to happen nowโ€”I canโ€™t wait. Summerโ€ฆ you feel it too, donโ€™t you? I need you. Now.โ€

God. This man is unreal, she thought, utterly overwhelmed. Hearing that, her lips went dry, and her heart started racing. She wanted to say no. Wanted to push him awayโ€”until Fraser gently took her hands and placed them on his chest.

Fraser leaned in, his handsome features closing the distance between them. His lips brushed hersโ€”soft, teasingโ€”before trailing slowly to her ear, where he whispered and let his mouth linger against her skin. He knew exactly what he was doing. Exactly where to touch.

Her whole body tingled, a wave of electricity spreading from her core to her fingertips. She made one last attempt at resistance. โ€œWe canโ€™t. Someone could see.โ€

Fraserโ€™s lips curled into a slow, teasing smile as he murmured against her ear, โ€œThe windows are tinted. No one can see a thing. Be good, babeโ€ฆ take care of it.โ€

After a moment, Summerโ€™s lashes flutteredโ€”and in the end, she gave in to Fraserโ€™s relentless coaxing. Soon, the quiet of the car filled with low, uneven breaths, his soft groans mixing with her own.

She turned her head slightly. He was still perfectly put togetherโ€”suit untouched, expression composedโ€”but his eyes told a different story, dark, stormy, and burning with desire. He leaned against her shoulder, breathing slowly. The car was silent now, but the air clung to themโ€”thick with warmth, breath, and the haze of what theyโ€™d just done.

Afterward.

โ€œYou were amazing, babe.โ€

The blush that had just started to fade from Summerโ€™s cheeks came rushing back. Her face warmed all over again. She looked down, her gaze soft and a little flustered, and muttered under her breath, โ€œYouโ€™re such a jerk.โ€

Fraser gave her a warm, amused look. โ€œNot exactly the ideal spot for round two,โ€ he said casually, โ€œso Iโ€™ll make it up to you tonight.โ€

Summer turned away quickly. โ€œWho says I want you to?โ€

Fraser raised a brow, voice low and playful. โ€œGuess that makes you the one in charge tonight.โ€

Summer rolled her eyes and reached over to lower the window, letting some of the heat escape from the car. She cleared her throat, eager to shift the mood. โ€œYou said once I gave you what you wanted, youโ€™d look into Mason.โ€

Fraser chuckled and twirled a strand of her hair around his finger. โ€œYou really are a heartless little thing.โ€ He laughed softly to himself. If she ever gave me even a little of that softnessโ€ฆ Iโ€™d probably lose my mind.

They arrived back at Ravenshire Boulevard. Lately, theyโ€™d been heading home together. Inside the elevator, Summer was still feeling awkward. Even after wiping her hands clean, she still felt stickyโ€”like his scent was clinging to her. She kept her head down, eyes locked on the tips of her silver heels.

Fraser leaned against the wall and glanced over at her, drawling, โ€œWhat are you looking for down there? Youโ€™ve been staring at the floor forever.โ€

Summer bit her lip and lifted her head, shooting him a glare with those shimmering eyes. Her gaze didnโ€™t hold much weight, but her eyes were bright and clear, reflecting a soft glimmer of light. Fraserโ€™s gaze drifted down to her feet. Those slim silver heels with delicate ties around her anklesโ€ฆ Her toes were neat and polished, painted a soft blush pinkโ€”chic, delicate, and undeniably pretty.

Fraser was still holding her hand, but now his fingers moved slowly over hers, every motion intentional. His voice dipped lower, rich with teasing amusement. โ€œPink everywhere, huh?โ€

Fraserโ€™s tone was warm and teasing, just brushing the edge of something deeper. His gaze slid downward, trailing slowly to her feet, steady and deliberate. A soft shiver crept up Summerโ€™s spine before she could stop it. She instinctively curled her toes. Just then, the elevator dingedโ€”66th floor.
