Chapter 186
The warm water soothed her stomach, easing the discomfort. Just as Julian, his face darkening, thought Rosalie would say nothing more, she suddenly looked at him.
“Mr. Galloway, when do you plan to initiate divorce proceedings so I can make room for your lover? After all, it’s inappropriate for a married man to hug his lover in public. It will damage both your reputation and Ms. Palmer’s.”
Julian regarded Rosalie’s indifferent demeanor with cold eyes. Despite witnessing his embrace with Roseanne, she remained unconcerned, even thoughtfully considering his reputation.
“Oh! So I should be grateful for your thoughtfulness?” A hint of irony flickered in Julian’s cold eyes.
“You’re welcome. I’ve always enjoyed being nice,” Rosalie replied, her smile languid, as if indifferent to Julian and Roseanne’s actions.
This realization upset Julian; he was unwilling to admit it. After speaking, Rosalie, unbothered by his feelings and having been interrupted by his arrival, redialed the number.
The phone was answered after a single ring. “Rosa.”
“Where are you?”
“At home.”
Eden’s voice, laced with unconcealed concern, filled the other end of the line. “How are you? Feeling better? Still uncomfortable?”
Julian’s face darkened further upon hearing Eden’s undisguised concern for Rosalie. Rosalie noticed, glancing at him. Seeing his increasing sullenness, she dismissed it and looked away.
