Chapter 795 Sheโll Come Back
Hayleyโs POV:
The younger sales associate looked embarrassed and ended up handing the card back to the older one without a word.
The older sales associate beamed, clutching the card tightly. She leaned forward a little and said to me with extra politeness, โMiss, right this way!โ
I smiled and followed her toward the section with the curtain.
But just before I stepped behind it, the curtain moved, and a short-haired young lady walked out.
She had golden hair, striking blue eyes, and a tanned complexion. She was slim but tall, and I could sense a strange kind of werewolf scent on her.
Hera told me right away that she was probably a mixed-blood, half-human and half-werewolf.
The short-haired young lady looked right at me and said indifferently, โNo need to trouble anyone. Iโm here.โ
My eyes instantly lit up.
โCindy? You useless half-blood!โ the younger sales associate exploded, taking out all her anger on her. โWhy arenโt you in the back unloading boxes? And look at your outfit! Youโll scare off our customers! Get back inside now!โ
โCindy?โ I repeated her name curiously.
The older sales associate explained softly, โYes, sheโs the only Jefferson here, but sheโs not a designer. Iโm not sure if sheโs the one youโre looking for.โ
โItโs her,โ I said, exhaling slowly.
Her real name was Cynthia, and she was a jewelry designer.
We werenโt exactly friends, but her mentor was Rosalie Jefferson, a world-class jewelry designer.
Back when I studied fashion design, I had some contact with Rosalie. We eventually lost touch, and naturally, I hadnโt crossed paths with Cynthia, the girl Rosalie raised.
Rosalie had once told me Cynthia was mixed-blood and didnโt have an easy time growing up with werewolves. She faced a lot of discrimination.
โI knew I came to the right place.โ I looked right at her and said, โLetโs go. This pack isnโt where you belong.โ
Cynthia didnโt move and stared at me calmly. โThanks, but Iโm staying until I find my mentor."
โBe real,โ I said, my patience slipping. โWhat if she never shows up?โ
โShe will!โ For the first time, her cool expression cracked, and her eyes burned with anger.
Her hands clenched into fists as she shouted, โSheโll be back! Iโm staying here! This place is the center of all werewolf rock betting. Sheโll show up here one day!โ

โSo youโre dead set on this?โ I stepped closer, my voice low and serious.
She stubbornly shouted again, โYes, Iโmmph!โ
Before she could finish, I jammed a silver needle into her neck. She instantly passed out.
I shoved her toward Humbert, who was still frozen in shock, and instructed, โTake her.โ
To stop anything crazy from happening once Cynthia woke up, we quickly left the jewelry store and went straight for the plane.
When she finally regained consciousness during the flight, she shot me a furious glare. โI donโt care where you take me! Iโll get back there!
โIf I canโt wait for my mentor, Iโd rather die in the Cyclone Pack!โ
โDo you think I canโt manage without you?โ I snapped, clenching my jaw. Her attitude was seriously pushing me to the edge.
Right away, she blew up like an angry wolf cub. โThen untie me! Who told you to step in? Iโm choosing to stay! What gives you the right to mess with my life?โ
โIf you donโt shut up, Iโll kill you right here. Youโll never see your mentor again!โ I shouted, finally hitting my limit.
