Alpha Hayleyโs Destined Mate
Chapter 713: Arena Queen
Hayleyโs POV: 87% + 8 Pearls
Relying on years of werewolf combat training, I deftly avoided all his attacks. His movements were rapid and powerful, clearly skilled, and on par with my Alpha capabilities. I maintained a defensive stance, waiting for an opening to defeat him in a single strike.
The crowd below was displeased, and their loud jeers and curses were perfectly audible.
โHey, isnโt that werewolf woman going to fight back? Whatโs the point of just dodging?!โ
โI thought she was supposed to be tough! Turns out sheโs just a pathetic little she-wolf.โ
โThis arena isnโt for a leisurely performance. If you canโt fight, just surrender and beg for mercy!โ
Hera was raging inside me. If it werenโt forbidden for her to come out here, she would have torn those peopleโs mouths apart! I calmed her down while continuing to evade the masked manโs attacks.
A few from the audience began defending me. โHey, donโt underestimate that werewolf woman. Havenโt you noticed? The guy in the mask hasnโt even touched a hair on her head so far.โ
โI agree. Letโs wait and see who wins!โ
โSheโs fighting like the Arena Queen!โ
โYou mean the undefeated woman in the arena? No wayโsheโs just a legend, right?!โ
โLegend, my foot! Sheโs real, I saw one of her fights years ago!โ
โThat woman was indeed ruthless and a werewolf too, not like this oneโjust a coward who only knows how to dodge!โ
The audience buzzed with excitement as we continued our match on stage. Once again, I evaded the masked manโs attack, and we stood on opposite sides of the platform, each claiming a corner.
The man exhaled impatiently and taunted, โHas the mighty Arena Queen fallen so low that she can only dodge?โ
โYou know my identity?โ I raised an eyebrow, slightly surprised.
But I quickly composed myself and sneered, โIt seems I canโt stay low-key any longer!โ
With that, I slapped the platform dramatically and sprinted towards him. The man stood still, a mocking smile on his lips as I approached. He reached under his mask and pulled out a few strands of wolfsbane, hurling them at me.
โDamn it! That bastardโs cheating!โ Henryโs angry voice rang out from the audience.
Tension surged through me, but I also felt a sense of relief, finally having forced his hand. I swiftly dodged.
While I was evading, the masked man changed his position rapidly, halting right in front of me and attempting a kick. I blocked his foot with both hands but was thrown back by the force, crashing into the railing and rebounding onto the floor. Supporting myself with one hand on the ground, I gasped for air.
โDamn it! That scum dared to play dirty!โ Henryโs furious roar came again. I shot him a reassuring look.
The spectators began cheering for the masked man, sneering at me with disdain. Seizing the favorable situation, the masked man readied himself and launched another attack.
I smiled calmly, continuing to fend off his assaults. Though I got hit several times, my speed began to slow. The fight seemed one-sided, with me on the receiving end of his blows.
I could sense Benjaminโs anxious and worried gaze on me. Smiling slightly, I noticed the masked manโs defenses slipping, realizing that the opportunity had come. As he launched another attack, I swiftly pulled a silver needle from my sleeve and faced him head-onโฆ
